I’m building a podcast and resource platform for families raising medically complex and severely disabled children. We're calling the show "A Little Extra Momming." If you are reading this, you likely care deeply about families walking hard medical roads. I’m asking you to pause for just a moment. Imagine your life changing overnight because of one diagnosis. Imagine loving a child while suddenly learning a new language of medicine, specialists, and decisions you never expected to face. Almost five years ago, our daughter was born with a severe trisomy diagnosis. In a matter of hours, our world changed. The future we thought we understood suddenly looked very different. We were handed language we didn’t understand and decisions we weren’t prepared to make. There was no clear starting point. No central hub. No steady place that said, “Start here.” Families in this space deserve better. And here’s the truth: This could one day be someone you love. Your sister. Your best friend. Your grandchild. It could even be your own family. And when that day comes, I believe there should already be a safe, trusted place waiting. That’s what this is. We are building this platform for families like ours — and maybe for yours. This work is designed to become self-sustaining over time. We are actively seeking product partnerships, corporate sponsors, and opportunities for widespread reach that will help support and grow this ecosystem long-term. But it needs a runway to launch now. To do this well, we need short-term support — $700–$1,000 per week for 4 months — to fully immerse myself in preparing for the April 1st podcast debut and to strategically build momentum during the first three months of this work, reaching as many families as possible, as quickly as possible. Your support creates the space to build something strong enough to stand on its own — so that when a family’s world shifts overnight, something steady is already waiting. If you believe a trusted space like this should exist not only for the family who needs it today, but also for the one who will need it tomorrow, I would be deeply honored to have you help build it. Early supporters are helping establish the foundation of this resource platform during its launch phase. These contributions help create the runway needed to build sustainable, long-term support for families. $25 helps support production preparation for launch content. $50 helps develop resource organization. $100 helps fund expert interview coordination. Your support helps ensure that when a family’s world changes overnight, they are not starting from nothing.
