<div>Help Andy Deutschlander Fight Pre-B Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia and Support His Young Family
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Hi, my name is Mike , and I’m writing this with a heavy heart on behalf of my brother in-law Andy and my sister Sarah, and their two little boys.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Just a short time ago, the world was turned upside down when Andy was diagnosed with Pre-B Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. What started as concerning symptoms quickly became a life-altering battle. Andy is now undergoing intensive chemotherapy, fighting with everything he has to beat this aggressive cancer and come home to his family.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Andy has always been the heart of their family — a devoted husband and a loving, hands-on dad to their boys, Cooper (4) and Jack (2). He’s the guy who would chase them around the backyard, and turn bedtime into storytime adventures. Now, those simple joys feel so far away. Andy is unable to work during this intense treatment, and the medical journey ahead is long and uncertain.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>As Andy fights for his life in the hospital, Sarahs been doing her best to hold everything together at home. Between caring for two young children who miss their daddy terribly, managing appointments, and trying to stay strong for their family, every day feels all-consuming. The fear, the exhaustion, and the financial weight have become overwhelming.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Even with health insurance, the costs are piling up fast. Unfortunately everyday bills don’t stop just because cancer entered their lives. We’re doing everything we can, but need help to keep the family stable while Andy focuses entirely on getting better.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We’re reaching out to family, friends, and kind strangers because we believe in the power of community. Any donation — no matter the size — will directly help cover medical expenses, household needs, and give them breathing room so she can focus on supporting Andy and their boys instead of worrying about how they’ll make it through the next month.
</div>
<div>Andy still has a long road ahead, but he is determined to fight this with everything he has so he can watch Cooper and Jack grow up. Your support would mean the world to them. It would mean hope, stability, and the message that they are not alone in this fight.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>From the bottom of our hearts — thank you. Every share, every prayer, and every dollar brings them one step closer to beating leukemia and getting their family back together.
</div>
<div>With endless gratitude,
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Sarah, Andy, Cooper &amp; Jack Deutschlander
</div>

Help Andy and his family to focus on the fight ahead

<div>On April 22nd in Grand Forks, BC, my parents, Tony and Sandi Bennett, lost everything.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>A sudden windstorm knocked over a tree, bringing down a power line that sparked a fire. Within moments, their home—built with years of sacrifice, hard work, and love—was completely destroyed. <strong>There is nothing left. Just ash.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div><img alt="" media_type="3" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/102773389_1776975208778102_r." width="100%" />
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>This wasn’t just a house.</strong>
</div>
<div>It was six years of my dad’s life—every summer, sun up to sun down—pouring everything he had into building and renovating a home for his family.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My dad, Tony, has worked in trades and construction his entire life. He left school early to provide, and he’s never stopped. Often working 16-hour days, doing whatever it takes to “git er done” and give his family a better life.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Sandi, is the heart of our family. She raised three kids on her own before meeting my dad—one of them deaf, another who battled cancer twice. She’s faced more than most, and through it all, she’s remained strong, loving, and full of life. If you know her, you know her laugh—it’s unforgettable.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Right now, she’s recovering from a total knee replacement and preparing for a hip replacement. My dad has been by her side through it all, while still working tirelessly to support them.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>In just 15 minutes, they lost:</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>* Their home—completely gone
</div>
<div>* Their dog, Saber, a rescue my dad found and brought home from a job site
</div>
<div>* Two vehicles, including my dad’s restored Chevy Fargo—his pride and joy—and his Harley Davidson
</div>
<div>* All of my dad’s construction tools—his livelihood
</div>
<div>* Family heirlooms, and the remains from our late grandfather and grandmother
</div>
<div>* Every photo, every memory
</div>
<div>* Passports, documents, and their entire life savings
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>They’re left with nothing but the clothes on their backs.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>To make things even harder, they were in the process of re-insuring the home and there was no policy in place at the time of the fire.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Right now, they are staying in a motel, trying to process the unimaginable.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>And still—my dad says he’s going to rebuild. From the ground up.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If you know Tony, you know he means it.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>But the reality is… they are now facing the unimaginable task of starting over from nothing at 60 and 66 years old.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>⸻
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>How You Can Help:</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We are raising $15,000 (or more) to help Tony and Sandi get through this immediate crisis.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Funds will go toward:</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>* Temporary housing
</div>
<div>* Basic necessities (clothing, food, essentials)
</div>
<div>* Replacing critical items
</div>
<div>* And eventually, helping my dad begin rebuilding what was lost
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>⸻
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Final Note:</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If you’re able to donate, even a small amount makes a difference.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If you can’t, please consider sharing this. That alone helps more than you know.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My parents have spent their entire lives giving to others, working hard, and pushing through every challenge thrown their way.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Now, they need a little help from their community to get back on their feet.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you for your support ❤️

Their Home, Dog & Life Savings Gone In a Fire — Please Help

<div>Hi, everyone!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My name is Hayden, and along with my producing partners Paolo and Dan, we are excited to announce our second horror short film collaboration, Cockroach.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Cockroach delves into the intense and fragile dynamics of a young couple raising their newborn. The horror emerges from the unforeseen circumstances that can fracture communication and spiral into a desperate, paranoid state where trust is completely eroded. We were drawn to exploring this relationship dynamic in the context of something as pure and hopeful as raising a child, and what we uncovered was both subjectively horrific and deeply cautionary.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Our previous film, Bloodshed, has screened at almost 100 film festivals worldwide, premiered at Fantasia and received critical acclaim within the indie horror space. Building on that success, we’re eager to take our storytelling to new heights with Cockroach.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We are professional filmmakers with over 20 years of collective experience in the film industry, and this project is truly a labor of love. We’ve assembled a talented and passionate crew, ready to bring Cockroach to life. However, as many of you know, raising funds for short films can be challenging, and this is where we need your support.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Our total budget for Cockroach is $25,000. To demonstrate our commitment to this project, we are personally investing $10,000 of our own funds. Your contributions will help us bridge the gap, covering essential costs like production design, equipment, locations, and post-production, ensuring we deliver a polished, spine-tingling horror experience.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We are deeply grateful for your generosity and belief in independent storytelling. Together, we can bring Cockroach to screens near you and continue making impactful, genre-defining films.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you so much for your support!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>With gratitude,

<div>Nicole needs our support to kick cancer’s ass one more time!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The sweetest, most gracious, adventurous, loving soul, we all know and love, just received heartbreaking news: the breast cancer she beat, two ½ years ago at the age of 36, with 18 rounds of chemo and 32 rounds of radiation, has returned. With the cancer metastasizing to her entire liver, clavicular lymph node and bones, she is now Stage IV.
</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>In her first courageous battle with breast cancer, Nicole never once asked for help from anyone and continued to dedicate herself to her full-time job she selflessly loved at the Boys and Girls Club of Lake Tahoe. This time around, she needs help from her community. To know Nicole, is to know she would never ask for help or a single donation, but what are friends for? We can step in to assist with some crushing debt and financial burden this debilitating news brings. Even with health insurance, the cost of Nicole’s medical bills are just too much for one person, one friend or one family, to bear. Fortunately, the power of many can make a significant difference.
</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>Asking anyone to donate is difficult for the simple reason, we never know what anyone else is going through. With that being said, please know every grand gesture or dollar donated is a gift that will resonate with Nicole forever. The support alone will help boost her morale, and together, we can keep Nicole smiling as she takes on the challenge of kicking cancer's ass once again!
</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>As if this surprising news wasn’t heartbreaking enough, a routine liver biopsy May 25th left her in the ICU for five days. The situation was further complicated due to her lifelong bleeding disorder, which lead her to lose a significant amount of blood, and dropped her blood pressure to dangerously low levels. Just when we thought it couldn’t get any worse, unfathomably, that intense stay in the ICU landed her with hospital-acquired pneumonia and a long road to recovery.
</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>Due to the complications from her biopsy, the toll this recent diagnosis has taken on her, and the effects of cancer itself, Nicole is now on medical leave from the job she loves at the Boys &amp; Girls Clubs of Western Nevada in Carson City.
</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>Throughout all of this, the most remarkable part has been Nicole’s unbreakable spirit, fierce determination, positive attitude, and bright smile. She is truly inspiring! We can only hope everyone is lucky enough to know and love someone with this much heart, just once in their lifetime.
</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>More details on Nicole’s recent fight in kicking cancers ass:
</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>Unfortunately, for over a month after her stay in the ICU, the pain around her liver became severe enough that lying down to rest and sleep were almost unbearable. The fatigue still makes it difficult to complete simple daily tasks, and the fluid lingering around her lung is leaving her with a constant cough.
</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>She also had a bone scan June 27th which showed that in addition to the cancer spreading to her liver and a lymph node in her neck; it’s also in her humerus bone near her rotator cuff, and the ribs in her upper back, including her scapula.
</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>Fortunately, though, Nicole has been accepted into the nation's top cancer hospital, MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX. This is an unbelievable opportunity and one that gives her, and us hope. Nicole’s treatment isn’t just several months like when she had chemo and radiation in 2020. Stage IV metastatic breast cancer is now a lifelong battle, a battle to keep Nicole alive as long as possible, or as she says, “until I’m 110”. Her doctor in Houston reminds us, “This isn’t a sprint, it’s a marathon.” She will stay on the same medicine until it stops working/shrinking the tumors, and hopefully a new drug or trial is ready to go if/when that happens.
</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>Nicole has already accrued close to her annual salary in total medical bills since her original breast cancer diagnosis in 2020. We started this GoFundMe and Venmo account to help her with the costs she has and the costs that will continue to grow relating to her cancer treatments, medications, food, travel and lodging expenses while she’s getting this necessary care. Donations will also support mental health programs and alternative wellness support which insurance does not cover. All funds will go directly to Nicole.
</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>Nicole has a bright spirit, one that has shined on so many. She's fearless and such a good human. Her work as the Director of Marketing and Events at the Boys &amp; Girls Club is touching and she often talks about how important it is to support our youth's positive development by helping them feel supported, grow, thrive, love, and learn. She’s made it her job to help others live their best life and now it’s time for us to help her live hers. Nicole is normally one of the most active people in Tahoe. On her favorite days, you can find her wakesurfing, mountain biking, snowboarding, split boarding, taking her 14-month golden retriever Rooster on adventures, paddle boarding, running, or going to the beach year around. She loves cross country skiing, and playing softball, hockey, volleyball and golf. And the off chance she’s not playing sports, she lives for traveling and spending time with her family 1,500 miles away. But now she needs us more than ever and we need her so she can continue to be that reminder to us all to never give up.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>No one should have to face this alone. Nicole needs us! Any amount helps, and every dollar counts. No amount is too small. If you prefer to send money to Nicole directly, her Venmo handle is (@NicoleMarsel). If you cannot support financially, please help spread the word and share her story.
</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>Thank you for taking the time to read this. Nicole always enjoys a good adventure and fun jokes so send one her way to let her know she is loved!!
</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>We are all fighting for you, Nicole!!!!!
</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>YOU ARE A BADASS!!! YOU GOT THIS, KICK CANCER’S ASS!

Help Nicole Marsel through Stage IV Breast Cancer

<div>Hello, Friends all over the world. This account has been set up as an urgent plea to help the Anderson Family in any way that you can.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>On Sunday, April 16th Bryan was involved in a terrible fluke accident, while body surfing with his family in Nicaragua. He has subsequently suffered a significant spinal cord injury, which although we do not know the neurological outcome at this time, will be life-changing for him and his family.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Amie, Edward and Amaya were with him at the time and he was saved by his son Edward. The family came together in full emergency response and flew him to the mainland where he was immediately transported to a hospital.
</div>
<div>He is currently in ICU in a hospital in Nicaragua, after emergency surgery, with Amie and the kids, while they wait for him to be cleared and stable enough to come home.
</div>
<div>The prognosis is not clear yet, but we do know that Bryan is facing the battle of his life and will need ongoing treatment and rehabilitation. Bryan is the main provider for the family, being a ski guide in the winter and a contractor to earn the family's annual income. Bryan is now faced with a situation where he may never be able to work again, and possibly never walk again.
</div>
<div>This greatly impacts the entire family with all that is to come and with no foreseeable income, we ask for any help you may be able to give.
</div>
<div>Proceeds from this fundraiser will be used to provide the therapy and care he will need to focus on recovery, to ease the monthly bills for his family and to put food on the table for them during the long road ahead. They will also be used to make their home Wheelchair accessible for when he can return home.
</div>
<div>Amie and the kids will be in Nicaragua for a while until Bryan is cleared to come home. The expenses are adding up fast and will be many for a long time to come.
</div>
<div>We ask that you can give anything you can to this incredible family who has been so generous to others and who never fails to help their friends and family when needed.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We also ask at this time that you do not contact Amie directly while she deals with this immediate crisis. While she is so thankful for the support, she needs to be able to focus on her family and the logistics of getting Bryan home. Feel free to leave kind messages here, or to check back for updates. We will be setting up a Facebook page where you may send your messages to the family.

<div>On Saturday , April 15th, 2023, Kaylin Gillis lost her life in a tragic shooting in Upstate NY.

</div>

<div><br />

<div>Kaylin just turned 20-years-old. She was traveling with friends when they mistakenly turned into the wrong driveway. As they were leaving in the vehicle, the homeowner opened fire upon their car and Kaylin was struck and killed.

</div>

<div>On behalf of the Gillis family, we would like to thank everyone who has offered their love and prayers as they embark on this incredibly difficult journey of grief and healing.

</div>

</div>

<div><b>4/18/2023- update from Kaylin’s family:</b>

</div>

<div><br />
</div>

<div>Kaylin was a kind, beautiful soul and a ray of light to anyone who was lucky enough to know her. She was a big sister, much loved daughter, devoted friend, and partner to her loving boyfriend. She was just beginning to find her way in the world with kindness, humor, and love. Kaylin was a talented artist, an honor student, a Disney fanatic, and loved animals. She was looking forward to starting college in Florida to pursue her dream of becoming a marine biologist. She was taken from us far too soon, and we are devastated. Our family will never be the same but we will be guided by Kaylin's positivity, optimism, and joy as we learn to live with her loss.

</div>

<div> Our family would like to send sincere thanks to the thousands of other people and other families who've expressed their support in this difficult time. Your well wishes and prayers are deeply appreciated, have been heard and will carry us through this difficult journey. We ask for privacy as our family grieves the loss of our beloved daughter, and focuses on celebrating her short but beautiful life.<br />
