<div>Je m'appelle Micael Daigle, un bon vivant de 30 ans, hyper sociable, malgré une condition difficile : la dystrophie musculaire de Duchenne (ou myopathie musculaire). En résumé, mes fibres musculaires se dégénèrent lentement, jusqu'à l’insuffisance respiratoire, la principale cause de décès de cette maladie. Avec une ventilation assistée, l’espérance de vie est d’environ 35 ans. Aujourd’hui, je me déplace en fauteuil électrique, car je n’ai plus de mobilité, y compris pour respirer. J’utilise donc un moniteur d’assistance respiratoire pour m’aider.

<div>Bien que la maladie soit implacable, je ne me laisse pas abattre. Je profite de la vie autant que possible avec le soutien de mes amis bénévoles qui m’accompagnent lors de diverses activités. Cela me permet de garder un bon moral et de vivre pleinement ma passion pour les Canadiens et les Alouettes de Montréal, la course automobile, et les spectacles de musique.

<div>Afin de poursuivre ces moments précieux, j'ai un véhicule adapté qui me permet de me déplacer. Mais les frais d’entretien, d’essence, ainsi que ceux des billets pour les événements, sont à ma seule charge. C’est pourquoi cette collecte de fonds est cruciale. Elle m’aidera à couvrir tous ces frais et à continuer de vivre ces instants de liberté qui me sont si précieux.

<div>My name is Micael Daigle, a 30-year-old bon vivant, hyper sociable, despite a difficult condition: Duchenne muscular dystrophy (or muscle myopathy). In summary, my muscle fibers degenerate slowly, until respiratory failure, the main cause of death from this disease. With assisted ventilation, life expectancy is about 35 years. Today, I use an electric wheelchair because I no longer have mobility, including for breathing. So I use a breathing assistance monitor to help me.

<div>Although the disease is relentless, I do not let myself down. I enjoy life as much as possible with the support of my volunteer friends who accompany me during various activities. It allows me to keep a good morale and fully live my passion for the Canadians and the Montreal Alouettes, car racing, and music shows.

<div>In order to pursue these precious moments, I have a suitable vehicle that allows me to move. But the maintenance costs, gas, as well as those of tickets for events, are at my sole expense. That’s why this fundraising is crucial. She will help me cover all these costs and continue to live these moments of freedom that are so precious to me.
