Laramie’s girlfriend and their 14-month-old daughter are facing an incredibly difficult time as Laramie is hospitalized for Endocarditis in the mitral valve. At just 27 years old, Laramie is the sole provider for his family, and his illness means he will be out of work for at least six weeks while receiving IV antibiotics, with the possibility of heart surgery afterward. The family is struggling to cover medical expenses, rent, utilities, and childcare, especially since only their daughter has insurance. The cost of childcare alone is more than their rent, and without Laramie’s income, his girlfriend is left to manage everything on her own.
