The Roper family has suffered the unimaginable loss of their sweet son, Easton, in a tragic four-wheeler accident. As a community, let’s come together to surround this family with love and help raise funds to support them with any expenses they may be facing during this incredibly difficult time. No parent should ever have to mourn the loss of a child.

Easton was such a happy kid—always playing outside, full of joy, and a light to everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Please continue to lift the Roper family in prayer, especially Easton’s little brothers, as they navigate this heartbreaking loss.

In Loving Memory of Easton Roper

If you know Alicia or Scott, you know they are always lending a helping hand! Scott was found unresponsive and is now being flown to Dallas for care with a brain infection. He is in need of all the prayers he can get. If you can help, please donate so Alicia can continue to be there for and with her husband during this tough time. I am reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for your support during a critical time. Scott is currently in the ICU battling a severe brain infection. The situation is incredibly serious, and they need all the care and medical attention possible to make it through this tough time.

Please consider contributing and sharing this message with others who may be willing to help. Your support, both financially and through your prayers or well-wishes, means the world to Scott and Alicia and their family during this difficult time.

I am creating this GoFundMe on behalf of my best friend of 20 years, Katie York.

Katie was involved in a tragic horse related incident while at work on Saturday September 7th. She was bringing a horse inside for dinner, when she was caught in between a gate and a panicked horse. Katie was trampled when the horse attempted to jump the gate and came down on top of her. Katie’s friend and coworker was in the right place, at the right time and saved her life by using her belt as a tourniquet. We are forever grateful for her quick thinking and determination to keep Katie alive. A helicopter was called to transport Katie, but the ambulance was able to get her stable enough and couldn’t wait. She was met by a trauma team of 20 at the ER and they immediately went to work.

In addition to Katie’s leg wound, she has a horribly sprained ankle, rope burn around her neck from the lead rope getting caught during the accident, and general pain and bruising covering her entire body. It is truly a miracle that she doesn’t have any broken bones or internal bleeding.

Katie had surgery early in the morning the day after the accident, in attempt to assess the damage, clean, and treat the wound. The surgeons originally planned to leave the wound open with a wound vac, but decided against it… The next several days were spent trying to manage her pain, a blood transfusion, bandage changes, heavy antibiotics and so much more. By the 4th day, her medical team could tell that her body was rejecting the closure and the skin was dying. Surgery was scheduled for day 7 and her team re-opened the wound, cleaned the dying tissue, and left the wound open until her next surgery that is planned for later this week. They are waiting to see how her body tolerates this most recent surgery before deciding what to do next. With an open wound of course comes the unbearable bandage changes, packing of the wound, and in time wound-vac care. Katie is in an immense amount of pain with fear of what her future holds.

Seeing someone you love in this kind of pain is gut wrenching and we want to do something to help ease the financial fear in the back of her mind. As many of you know, Katie has a son (Sean), two horses of her own( Maya & Dakota), her beloved dog (Riley) and sweet cat (Emma). Katie works on a horse farm here in NC and we are unsure what her future holds in terms of when or how she will get back to work. Katie is the hardest working person I know. She treats every horse on the farm like her own, putting their needs far above and beyond her own. The fear of leaving her teammates short staffed, falling behind financially, missing her animals, and worrying about what her future will look like is heartbreaking. I started this go fund me in hopes to raise funds to help ease her worries while she is on this long road to recovery. Before her second surgery, doctors were estimating 6 months- 1 year recovery. We are unsure at this time what the next surgeries have added in terms of recovery time. Unfortunately, while Katie’s world seems at a standstill, the world keeps spinning, bills keep coming and the worries are piling up. The last thing we want her worrying about while fighting for her life, is finances. If you find it in your heart to donate, we will forever be grateful. If you can’t donate, please share, and continue to pray for healing and full recovery. I will update after her 3rd surgery this week!

Thank you from the very bottom of my heart!!

Hi, my name is Jasmin Ferhatovic. I am the neighbor of the Kairi Vongtongthip - Thao Family. On October 20th, this family experienced a horrific tragedy. Not only was their home destroyed in a fire, but they also lost their 8-year-old daughter, Kairi Vongtongthip and her grandfather, Nhia Chue Thao, is in critical condition. At this time, the family is needing assistance with funeral funds, medical expenses and living expenses while being out of work.

From Kairi's Mom: Kairi was a really loving, caring, thoughtful, friendly and was very sweet. She was the kindest, smartest, most beautiful little girl I've ever known. A lot of people that knew her would say the same thing. She lit up the room everywhere she went and always knew how to make everyone laugh and smile. She was the most talented baby girl I've ever known. No one could prepare any of us for this tragedy. She was all of our little baby.

KAIRI VONGTHONGTHIP - THAO FAMILY FUND

Hi, my name is Saylor, and as a family, we have created this go fund me to support my step sister Alexis Criswell, and her 4 sweet babies. Tuesday night, Alexis was involved in a serious car accident and has sustained multiple severe injuries. She has been in ICU, sedated, had multiple surgeries, and it’s going to be a long road to recovery. We are hoping to raise money for Alexis’ medical bills, as well as expenses for her 4 babies at home. We are so grateful she is still here with us, and greatly appreciate any help that we can get. Please keep Alexis in your prayers as she recovers from such a traumatic experience.

Hi, my name is Calvin Mason. I am going into my senior year at West Rusk School. My goals are to continue throwing in college and become an Olympian thrower. As some of you know, my throwing abilities have taken me to the State and National levels. I will be competing in the Junior Olympics in Greensboro, NC. Currently, I placed First in the discus and third in the shot at the Regional Junior Olympic meet. This comes with some unexpected expenses for my family. Due to me throwing unattached, which means I do not belong to a team. I want to represent my hometown and community. The work I put in for my dreams and my continuous support have brought me this far. The expenses that come with this are traveling, lodging, and entree fees. If you are reading this and can help donate or would like to help sponsor, I am using my throwing ability to help earn college scholarships to provide me with education for my future. Any donation is going to help! The event will be held from August 1st through August 6th. We would have to leave no later than July 30th. Thank you for all of your support.

Hello, my name is Kim Fallona and I'm sharing this story to help my dear friends' son Robby & his fiancé Emily. On July 2nd, 2021 they were completely stopped at a light on 316 when a truck pulling a trailer slammed into them at full speed. Robby's truck was propelled into an SUV in front of them & completely crushed. By the grace of God, the cabin was mostly intact, but Robby suffered a broken vertebrae. Emily had only minor injuries thankfully. On July 4th, Robby had his neck fused and will have permanent limited neck movement. He is just 25 years old. While the truck saved their lives, and most importantly Robby's spine was not damaged which could've caused paralysis, he has lost the ability to work for 3 months. The man who hit them had limited insurance and it's unlikely they will receive any settlement money. The couple just built a new house and got engaged. Emily is a teacher and working a second job to help pay the bills, but they will have many. Robby served his country as a marine and now he needs our help. Please consider donating to this young couple who are just beginning their lives together to get through this difficult time.

Help bridge the gap for Robby & Emily

Want to join me in making a difference? I'm raising money for Bill Arp Falcons Football Association Inc, and any donation will help make impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to us.

The family and friends of Lawayne Rollins have suffered an unexpected and early loss of his vibrant and contagious spirit.
One of the greatest fighting spirits I know, while at work on Sunday 1/21/18 Lawayne suffered a massive heart attack that even he could not overcome.

Lawayne was a dedicated loving husband and father that adored his kids and grandchildren. He lived for his family.

Lawayne left a mark with everyone he came in contact with. He passionately loved his friends and community!
One of his greatest accomplishments is he was a Servant Leader! He consistently put the needs of others first to help us all perform at the highest possible level. Often existing where people were barely aware. Lawayne rarely spoke or celebrated personal accomplishments, but would passionately broadcast this culture when it came to his family, friends and decades of coaching the youth in our community.

I have been blessed to share 33 years of my life with my friend but today I have a hurting heart. I lost my brother! As friends and fathers we often shared many dreams and goals as we raised our families. But God has bigger plans, unfortunately as hard as we worked some goals are not completed.

The family has been hit hard emotionally and financially as they prepare to move forward. As the calls of support have been pouring in we always ask "Is there anything I can do?"
My friends, I humbly come to you and say "Yes!!" I need your help!!
Lawayne's employment accounted for 90% of the household income. With his untimely passing there are medical, living, educational, and end of life expenses that will need to be stablized as the family plans their future.

From our families to yours, we are very grateful for the support we have recieved and will continue to recieve. We look forward to seeing you and celebrating Lawayne's life in every way possible!!

40 Minutes of Football......
A Lifetime of Memories!!!
Thanks for the memories my brother!!!

Much love and gratitude,

Marty Gildemeyer

Celebration of Life

Back in September I ended up in the hospital with ESRD (end stage renal disease) I had an idea it was coming but the doctors told me they thought my kidney function would hang on for another several years. That wasn't the case. I knew I was getting sick but I was trying to hang on until my open enrollment period at work, to sign up for our insurance. I didn't make it. I spent 9 days or so in the hospital. I was the only one working in the house at that time (it's the wife and me).

Now I am stuck on Medicare and at the moment Medicaid also. The Medicaid will be gone once my social security disability kicks in but here's the kicker: Because of my age my supplemental insurance is over $1000 dollars a month.

You might say "Why don't you go back to work?"

Well I would, but if I do I lose my Medicare. If that happens I will die in the 90 days it takes to get insurance. So I truly can't work yet. I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place. Please help me with my insurance premiums so I can get a new kidney.
I go for a transplant evaluation on January 22nd and the good news is this time next year I should have a new kidney. I'm just not sure how I will pay for it. I have several people willing to give me a kidney I just need some people to help me with the costs now.

That’s where you come in. If we can get 15000 people to give $1.00 this will be easy. That would cover my premiums for the next year. What do you say? Will you help me out?
