I am a paraplegic and, for almost three years, I haven’t been able to take a real shower. Instead, I rely on sponge baths, which is something I truly dislike. It’s hard to describe how much I miss the simple comfort and dignity of a proper shower—something most people take for granted. This daily struggle has affected my confidence and made it even harder to feel comfortable in my own skin.
The funds from this fundraiser will help me get a shower installed that I can actually use. This isn’t just about hygiene—it’s about regaining a sense of independence and normalcy in my life. Being able to shower again would mean so much to me, both physically and emotionally. It would help me feel more confident, make it easier to leave the house, and allow me to participate in family outings without feeling self-conscious.
I really hope I have the support of this community. Your help would make a world of difference and give me back a piece of my life that I’ve been missing for far too long. Thank you for considering supporting my journey.
