Last month, my daughter and I moved into an apartment with almost nothing. We lost the house my kids and I grew up in because my mom couldn't afford it after my dad passed away. As a single mom, I am doing everything I can to keep a roof over my daughter's head. It took me a while to find a job, and now rent is due soon. I'm working all the hours I can get and about to start a second job. My mom can't help, and she's the only family I have since my dad passed away. I don't want to have to move my daughter again or risk being homeless. The funds raised will help pay our rent until my new jobs start bringing in income.
