I’m Sarah, and I’m asking for help for my household as we go through a very difficult time. Right now, I am unable to work because I am my elderly mother’s full-time caregiver. She has severe Crohn’s disease, suffered a massive stroke, and has lost most of her vision, so it is very hard and unsafe for me to leave her alone. At the same time, I also have to walk my child to school every morning because we do not have a car. My husband recently lost his job after a severe medical emergency and is not able to work right now, so our family is facing an ongoing loss of income while our caregiving needs continue every day.
<br>
<br>
 The funds from this fundraiser will help us keep up with <strong>rent and electricity</strong> while we manage these challenges. These are not just one-time bills for us, but continuing monthly needs while I care for my mother and my husband recovers. Predictable support, including recurring donations, would help us stay more stable from month to month as we try to keep a roof over our heads and the lights on. One-time donations are also deeply appreciated and would make a real difference for our family. Any help, support, or sharing of this fundraiser means so much to us during this time. Thank you for caring about my family.

Help Sarah Keep Up With Rent and Utilities

<div><strong>Fire</strong> has devastated the <strong>home &amp; business</strong> of our dear Mama- the angel face behind the counter of Floyd st Corner Store.
</div>
<div>Always insisting we call her <em>Mama</em>- we don’t even know her real name.
</div>
<div>A hard working immigrant that always did her best for herself &amp; the others on the block.
</div>
<div>Always a huge smile &amp; singing praises to me &amp; anyone else I ever brought by her quaint little store.
</div>
<div>I know for a fact that Mama has a
</div>
<div>huge heart- telling everyone- strangers- she loves them.
</div>
<div>Id catch her outside on pretty days sometimes chatting with other neighbors &amp; she would always be smiling &amp; wave- I’ve never seen her frown.
</div>
<div>When tragedy like a fire happens it is up to the community to help individuals rebuild their whole lives…
</div>
<div>I know first hand how painful &amp; scary it is to suddenly become homeless &amp; full of burden after a fire.
</div>
<div>Last year my home was taken by a fire &amp; without the support of my roommate &amp; the help of the community I’d be in a much worse place or no place at all.
</div>
<div>Losing a home is horrible enough but I cannot imagine my shop- my means to live- taken in one night.
</div>
<div>My story was a very lucky one… I have the support of my very strong &amp; loving community.
</div>
<div>I don’t think Mama quite has the same reach so I’d like to try and extend mine.
</div>
<div>It breaks my heart to see someone so kind and caring have such a traumatic hardship.
</div>
<div>Please donate what you can &amp; all funds will be given directly to Mama.
</div>
<div>Thank You with Love.
