<div>Our names are Emma Jennings and Edwina o' Brien, we are both nurses. We are excited to be travelling to South Africa to volunteer with local schools, children and communities. This is an opportunity that means so much to both of us, as we've always wanted to use our time to make a positive difference in the lives of others.

<div>During our time there we will contribute a wide range of skills including educational support, mentoring and life-skills coaching to build confidence and resilience, sports, music and cultural activities that encourage creativity and personal development. More importantly, we'll be supporting their health and wellness and creating meaningful connections to make a positive difference in their lives and communities. Every skill and act of service can make a meaningful difference in the children's future.

Volunteering in Gqeberha in South Africa  

<div>We are Gerry and Niamh, brother and niece of Pat Mcdonnell. We have decided to setup this go fund me for my brother/uncle Pat as he is currently battling Cancer for the second time.
</div>

<div>Pat Mc Donnell , lives in Crimlin Cornamona with his wife Mary and their two young children Michael aged 9 and Chloe aged 7.
</div>

<div>Pat received his first diagnosis of Cancer back in April 2016 in his throat. At the time Pat endured grueling chemotherapy and radiotherapy while he continued to work as a stone mason/builder during this time to provide for the family.
</div>

<div>In December 2023 Pat began to feel unwell again and was suffering from recurrent chest infections. Pat spent a lot of time in hospital and had many medical examinations which confirmed that Pat was very unwell again. Pat and his family were given the devastating news that Pat unfortunately had Cancer for a second time, this time in his Oesophagus.

<div>Pat and Mary both knew what was ahead of them as they had travelled this path already in 2016. Pat put on a brave face and got ready to fight again. Pat has spent many weeks in hospital receiving treatment for his cancer.

<div>Pat and his family were dealt another painful blow in May 2024 when Pat was told that the Cancer had spread to the muscle in his stomach
</div>

<div>Since receiving his latest diagnosis. Pat, unfortunately has not been able to begin the next round of treatment for his Cancer. This is due to the fact he had developed pneumonia 8 weeks ago and has not been strong enough to commence the long &amp; grueling fight which lays ahead of him.
</div>

<div>Mary, Pats Wife has been by his side throughout this battle &amp; has fought long &amp; hard to ensure that Pat receives the best treatment &amp; care possible. Mary travels to Galway University Hospital everyday to be by Pats side to support him, whilst also continuing to balance being a Mother for there 2 young children.

Help Pat fight Cancer

<div>Corrib RFC, a rugby club in the West of Ireland, is on its knees after a devastating fire. We at Corrib RFC are appealing for urgent help after we fell victim to a destructive incident that completely devastated the club's new main facility and everything within it; all training equipment, all matchday equipment, squad jerseys and making the training area unusable. The incident now means that 430+ members are only weeks away from pre-season with not even a rugby ball to play with. Total losses are estimated in excess of €120,000. With the facility 95% completed it had yet to be added to our insurance policy.

<div>Corrib RFC is a community-based and family-oriented Rugby Club based in the West of Ireland, 25km north of Galway City. We celebrated our 40th year in 2021 and with over 430 active members, we field 13 teams for Juvenile and Adult male and female players. Our renowned Minis Rugby section not only provides boys and girls, aged Under 7s to U12s, with skill development opportunities but also hosts the highly successful annual 'Give It A Try' program for young girls in conjunction with the IRFU.

<div>Guided by our values of inclusion, integrity, and respect, Corrib RFC welcomes coaches and players from all backgrounds. However, the devastating fire now sees us in the position where we must restore the club back to its previous standing. To accommodate our ever-growing membership, we must embark on a journey to rise once again.
