- I'm a mother of two small children—ages 3 and 2. I have severe schizoaffective disorder. I'm writing this because we're about to lose our home, and I need help. mental health crisis destroyed our income. while fighting to keep our family together. I was been hospitalized since May 13 with acute psychosis. My doctors wrote that discharging I should not go to a shelter would be detrimental to her health. We've applied for disability benefits and a housing voucher, but those take time we don't have. We face eviction. Our utilities are on disconnect notice. I've called every agency, filed complaints, cited federal law, and begged. The system has failed us. We need $825 to stop the eviction. Anything beyond that will keep us afloat while we wait for the benefits we've been promised. Every dollar goes directly to rent and basic needs. If you can't donate, please share.
