DART TRAILER PROGRESS UPDATE We’re making progress on the Minnesota Fraternal Order of Police Disaster Area Response Team (DART) trailer! We’ve continued installing E-track inside the trailer and have started adding more of the equipment we’ll need in the field, including storage containers, garbage cans, and other essential gear. Every addition gets us one step closer to having a self-sufficient mobile response trailer ready to deploy when Minnesota communities and first responders need us. We’re also excited to share that ABC 6 News recently featured the Minnesota FOP DART project, helping us spread the word about our mission and the need for continued support. The Minnesota FOP DART trailer is here — now we need your help getting it mission-ready. Thanks to a generous donor, we secured the trailer that will become the heart of Minnesota’s new Fraternal Order of Police Disaster Area Response Team. The build has begun, E-track is being installed, and equipment and supplies are starting to go inside. Now we need your help finishing the job. Our DART team will be prepared to respond to tornadoes, floods, wildfires and other disasters, as well as critical incidents involving law enforcement, firefighters and other first responders. The trailer needs to be self-sufficient and ready to operate in areas where electricity and other basic services may be unavailable. Your donations will help us purchase generators, lighting, heavy-duty shelter, tables, chairs, coolers, storage equipment and other essential response supplies. Minnesota Fraternal Order of Police Therapy K9's Rip & Summit support first responders throughout the state. When tragedy strikes nobody knows the tolls it takes more than first responders. Whether it is police officers, fire fighters, dispatchers, paramedics or the emergency room personnel, they see more trauma in a few days than most people see in a lifetime. Therapy K9's are specially trained to sense when something is wrong and support that first responder. They are most effective days and weeks after a tragedy and the MN FOP is committed to deploying this asset state-wide. There are limited resources like this in outstate and it's costly to travel to all corners of the state but this team is committed to make sure nobody is left behind. They have been trained by the acclaimed group Soldier's 6 who also have a network of other therapy K9's to work as a team watching over those that watch of all of us. Your donation will help cover travel costs and veterinary bills. This work is all volunteer so all money raised goes directly for the dogs.
