My name is Kelsey, and I’m reaching out because my family and I are facing one hardship after another. After my previous boss refused to pay me for days I worked, I was forced to leave and search for a new job without any income coming in. I finally landed another job, but then I was hacked, which set us back even more. Just as I thought we might be able to get by, I was let go again after training new hires, and now we’re facing eviction at the end of the month. This morning, our car’s CV-AXEL boot broke on the way to my kids’ school, and I had to drive in reverse just to get us home safely. Every day feels like a new challenge, and it’s getting harder to keep my head above water. Right now, we need help with rent so we don’t get evicted, car repairs so I can get my kids to school, and groceries so my kids can have proper meals. We’re also struggling to keep up with utilities like water and sewer, and I want to make sure my kids don’t have to worry about losing our home or basic needs. Tonight, dinner is tuna from a can, and I just want my kids to feel comfortable and safe again. Please, help us. I hate asking for anything, but right now, almost anything is everything to us.
