  1. This year, as a junior in high school, my son Ethan was nominated for Global Glimpse—a nonprofit organization that gives high school students the chance to travel to countries in need and perform meaningful community service. After applying, Ethan was accepted and will be traveling to Panama in July. We are so proud of him for earning this opportunity! Because Global Glimpse is a nonprofit, they do not cover the cost of travel for students in the program. Although scholarships are available, our family did not receive much aid, even after sharing about the added medical expenses we’ve faced since my cancer diagnosis. The only way they reassess aid is if someone becomes unemployed, so unfortunately, we are left to cover most of the cost ourselves. From the start, Ethan has wanted to contribute as much as possible on his own—he’s been working Saturdays at the bakery, but it’s tough to make a dent in the total cost. Eric and I have been helping as much as we can, and we’ve had friends reach out wanting to support Ethan as well. I am creating this fundraising page to help Ethan raise the rest of the funds needed for this trip. Any help is appreciated, but not expected. Your support will help Ethan take part in a life-changing experience and give back to a community in need. Thank you so much for considering a donation and for cheering Ethan on!

  2. Being diagnosed with BC has changed my life. What started as a surgery due to a genetic mutation has expanded to an intense chemo regimen, followed by 5 weeks of radiation, and two more surgeries following that.
