❤️ Please Help Us Bring Rick Home ❤️
I am reaching out with a humble and hopeful heart to ask for help for Rick and his family.
Rick is a retired Corrections Officer with the MANCI. He spent years serving and protecting others. He is also a deeply devoted Christian man who has always tried to live his life by helping those around him.
Rick is the kind of person who would give the shirt off his back to a complete stranger in need. He has always been willing to help others without expecting anything in return.
Today, Rick is the one who needs our help.
Rick is battling congestive heart failure. His health has declined to the point that he is unable to walk and requires oxygen. Because of his condition, he is unable to work.
For nearly two years, Rick and his family have not been able to live in their home. Before Rick can safely return, the house needs significant cleaning and repairs.
What Needs to Be Done
We are still determining the exact cost of everything, so these are our best estimates at this time:
Tree removal: approximately $650
Broken window: approximately $400 or less
Broken pipes/plumbing: approximately $500–$1,000
♨️ Hot water tank and installation: approximately $1,500–$2,000
️ Dumpsters: We anticipate needing the largest size and possibly two loads
Cleaning and labor: approximately $1,500
Other necessary repairs that may be discovered once the home is cleaned and work begins
At this point, we estimate the immediate repairs and cleanup could cost approximately $4,550–$5,550, plus dumpsters and any additional repairs.
These are estimates, and we simply don't know the final cost until the work gets underway. We want to be completely transparent about that.
Rick and his family have five children, and after almost two years of being unable to live in their home, they desperately want the opportunity to have their home back.
For Rick, this is especially important. With his health challenges, he needs a safe and comfortable place where he can be with his family.
He spent his career serving others, and he has continued to show compassion and kindness throughout his life. He is the person who would give everything he had to help someone else.
Now, we are asking if we can come together and help him.
How You Can Help
If you are able to donate, any amount will make a difference.
If you cannot donate, please consider sharing this fundraiser with your family, friends, church family, coworkers, and community. You never know who might see it and be able to help.
Most importantly, please keep Rick and his family in your prayers—for his health, for strength, and for the resources needed to make his home safe again.
After everything Rick has given to others throughout his life, I hope we can show him that he is not alone and that people are willing to stand beside him when he needs us most.
Thank you for taking the time to read his story, for every prayer, every donation, and every share. Your kindness means more than you know.

❤️ Please help us give Rick and his family the opportunity to come home.
