Madison is excited to be one of the athletes selected to attend the upcoming NABI basketball tournament in Phoenix, Arizona. She has shown incredible talent and dedication, working hard to earn this opportunity. As her parent, I am proud to see her represent our family, community, and Native heritage on such a significant stage. This tournament is more than just a chance to compete; it’s an opportunity for Madison to grow as an athlete and gain valuable life experiences through sports. Traveling outside of Alaska presents unique challenges, especially when it comes to covering expenses like airfare, lodging, registration fees, and other travel-related costs. We are seeking support to help make this trip possible, so Madison can focus on her game and make the most of this experience. Basketball has taught Madison discipline, teamwork, respect, and perseverance. Participating in this event will not only help her develop her athletic abilities, but also strengthen her confidence, leadership skills, and commitment to being a positive representative of our village and people. We are grateful for the support our tribe provides to community members pursuing educational, cultural, and athletic opportunities.
