I properly established a company, securing a telecommunications license, lawyers, insurance, bonding, and all required documentation, operating it successfully until 2013. Crisis in 2013 That year, amid the Arab Spring's ripple effects in Europe, authorities rounded up people of color—including myself—and placed me in a refugee camp. Despite providing full proof of my identity as Robert Bernard Campbell and my legal status, I was accused of illegal entry from Nigeria, ignoring my evidence. Decade of Struggle I endured two years in the camp, followed by ten more years without ID, banking access, work rights, or medical care in Bulgaria. This isolation forced me through COVID alone with no medication —a profoundly isolating ordeal you wouldn't wish on anyone. The Moment of Clarity In the December of 2017 I was pleasantly surprised by a visited from an old girlfriend from my childhood. She is the only person that I knew from my old life who cared enough to investigate. When she was here the status quo happened and I was detained by Immigration for 24 hours. When I was released the next day she already returned back to the US. The Deal It had been 3 years since I had been released from the Refugee Camp. I decided to stop trying to prove that I am who I know I am. It was time to reinvent myself at all cost. An old friend who was already in Europe visited me for a couple days. He showed me how I could slowly but surely retake control of my life. I took his advice to it's fullest. The Results It is now 2019 I spent a year as an intern with a mediocre tech company, but the purpose of my choice had proven correct. I had re-acclimated myself back in the tech sphere. Now to execute the plan, I spent the next 6 years working every day 7 days a week reinventing myself. Today if you are to excel you must be certified in your field of work. I took every Tech course and now I hold over 300+ Cyber & AI Certifications. Every single one that is sought after by Entry level to Senior Advanced personnel. Recent Resolution With Bulgaria's recent EU integration, officials acknowledged their error, granting you residency via a NOW card and unfreezing one of many bank accounts. Britain also returned my passport after I provided necessary details. As of early February 2026, the day after the Super Bowl I am piecing my life back together. Gratitude Three Bulgarian families provided critical support during those ten years, and I am deeply indebted to them—respecting their privacy by not naming them. I just want to repay them before leaving Bulgaria for good. I will however name the Niagara Hotel in Varna Bulgaria. They sheltered and feed me for a year. To be completely transparent they treated as if I was one of their family members. The purpose of my asking for help is not for me but to repay those that helped me until I am back to working on my own two feet and obviously dealing with the many court cases that I have pending. Both civil & criminal.
