Help Jake and His Family Through His Recovery

Hello, my name is Rebecca Burgin, and I am Jenna Anderson's boss. Last night, Jenna got the kind of news no parent ever wants. Her 15-year-old son, Mason, was diagnosed with a severe brain injury. While playing in a home football game at Sweet Home HS, Mason was hit in the head, had a seizure, and was diagnosed with a brain bleed. He was life flighted to Portland for brain surgery. He is currently in ICU, and we do not yet know the outcome. The Dr's have advised that for now, we wait. Jenna will be unable to work, and Mason will need extensive medical care. Please donate what you can. 100% of the proceeds will help Jenna with living expenses and medical expenses. I will update as new information comes in. As you all know, Mason died on October 5th. The funds from this account will be used to pay the extensive medical bills incurred form the ambulance, life flight, brain surgery, icu care, and all of the medical procedures that were done in an attempt to save his life. I am Jenna's boss and have known her for 6 years. I am helping her navigate the medical billing and insurance process. She has a qualified HDHP, and there are things that insurance may not cover. Thank you all for your generosity.

Mason Flores #8 RIP

I am starting this fundraiser for my corgi girls, Charlee and Piper, after a terrifying and unprovoked attack that happened just 20 feet from our front door. We just bought our home in South Hill Puyallup and have only been here a couple of months, so this has been even more shocking and heartbreaking for our family. My daughter was walking them when two Staffordshire dogs attacked. In the middle of the chaos, both my daughter and a neighbor’s son were bitten as they tried to get help. The dogs’ owner was not home, and the owners are renters with no insurance, so we have been left facing this nightmare on our own. I was not home when it happened, and I will never forget getting a video call from my daughter crying and covered in blood. It was one of the most helpless and heartbreaking moments of my life.

Charlee and Piper are sisters who are almost 10 years old, and they have never been separated. They mean everything to our family, and seeing them go through this has been devastating. We are incredibly grateful for the neighbors who rushed out to help, and for the neighbor who transported my daughter and both dogs to the hospital. Right now, Piper remains hospitalized, and our vet bills are nearing $10,000. These funds will help cover emergency care, surgeries, and the ongoing treatment Charlee and Piper need to recover from this traumatic event. Any support you can give means the world to our family and will help my girls heal. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness, prayers, and support during this devastating time.

Davey Hearn, a celebrated Olympian, is facing an unexpected and challenging situation. Recently, he was falsely accused of vandalizing the DC reflecting pool, a charge that has shaken both him and those who know his character and dedication. Davey has always represented his community and country with integrity, and these accusations are not only unfounded but threaten to undermine years of hard work and service.

The legal battle ahead is daunting, with significant fees and expenses required to defend Davey and clear his name. Your support will directly help cover these costs, ensuring that Davey has the resources he needs to fight for justice. By contributing, you are standing up for fairness and supporting someone who has given so much to others.

Please help Davey and others being illegally prosecuted for political reasons. Your generosity will make a real difference in this fight, and together, we can help restore hope and justice for Davey and those facing similar challenges.

The Back 40, a newly acquired area for the Lost Lake COA, has become overrun with debris and trash piles that have accumulated over many years. These piles are more than just an eyesore—they create safety hazards and threaten the natural beauty of our community. Addressing this issue now is crucial, as we have the chance to use existing machinery already on site, making the clean-up process more efficient and cost-effective than if we wait until later.

The funds raised through this campaign will be used to hire contractors who can safely and thoroughly remove the trash and debris from The Back 40. We’ll also need to rent large containers to haul away everything that’s collected, ensuring the area is left clean and safe for everyone. Every contribution will help us take this important first step toward restoring The Back 40 and making it a place the whole community can enjoy.

This is truly a community project, and your support is essential. If you love Lost Lake and want to see The Back 40 transformed into a beautiful, safe space for all, please consider donating. Together, we can make a lasting difference and create a space that everyone will be proud of.

Our dear friends, Dallas and April Isom, are facing an incredibly difficult chapter. Dallas is scheduled for a life-saving operation in just a few days, following weeks of intensive, ongoing medical procedures that have kept him alive.

Many of you know Dallas for his unwavering dedication to the Lost Lake community—serving on the board and tirelessly maintaining the resort’s infrastructure, often behind the scenes and without recognition.

Now, it’s our turn to give back.

Let’s come together as a community and surround the Isoms with the support, love, and resources they need during this urgent time. Every contribution helps ease their burden and brings hope to a family that has given so much.

DALLAS IS HOME! We are ending the GoFundMe tomorrow.

Hi, Sharon here and I’m pleading for you to help my sister, Carolyn, pay her veterinary bill. On Mother’s Day the unimaginable happened . Carolyn’s adorable 6 lb emotional support dog, Gracie, was viciously attacked by a German shepherd that got out. Gracie was on a leash with Carolyn when the German shepherd bolted through a partially opened door. Gracie spent 10 hours in surgery and recovery and the hope was she would survive this horrific attack. On Tuesday afternoon, the unthinkable happened and Gracie’s little body couldn’t take anymore and went to join Carolyn’s prior service dog across the Rainbow Bridge. Gracie was only 5 years old and Carolyn was looking forward to another ten plus years. Instead of caring for sweet little Gracie, Carolyn is now having to bury her .

Carolyn’s only income is from SSI, she has been disabled and unable to work for 15 years due to an auto immune disease and severe depression and anxiety. Gracie provided so much comfort and literally kept Carolyn alive. Carolyn has no means of generating the money needed to cover the $3500 and was unable to qualify for the Care Card Credit. We would be eternally grateful if you can find it in your heart to donate whatever amount fits within your budget. I know it’s a lot to ask of friends and strangers. I never thought I would ever start or need a GoFundMe and if it was for me I wouldn’t be asking. All donations will be applied to the $3500 veterinary bill. I have donated to many over the years and will continue to do so in the future.

Help ease Carolyn’s grief

Friends, I never ever expected to get to the point where I must ask my community for help to survive. Yet the human spirit is so incredibly powerful and I am learning that even in the face of the worst pain I could imagine, I will not give up on myself. This is very hard for me to share, but if I'm going to ask for your help, then I must tell you about my journey over the last many months:

On August 21, 2021, one day before my 52nd birthday, I got my 1 and only dose of the Pfizer covid vaccine. I've never officially been diagnosed with Covid-19. I wanted to do the right thing and I really believed I was doing just that. I trusted I would be ok. Within 5 days I was on a path to total autoimmune destruction as my body started misfiring everywhere. Extreme inflammation struck my entire body.

It was most noticeable early on in my brain. I would find myself lost for words, slurring my speech, showing marked stroke signals and having tremors. I was terrified as were others around me including my Mother. This lasted for weeks and I have still not recovered from it entirely. I continue to have ongoing dysarthria and severe cognitive issues. I have an MRI scheduled to look at my brain at the end of this month on March 31, 2022.

Next, my teeth. They were in so much pain it felt like they were all falling out. Strangely my dentist could not find anything wrong with my actual teeth, full exams and x-rays showed nothing. One month later one of my teeth died without any decay or trauma. I had to have a root canal. My dentist of 20+ years has never seen anything like this, until recently, and shares the opinion that this is a reaction to the vaccine. The early dental care cost me thousands out of pocket.

My joints blew up. My ankles swell up to my knees which has left me bedridden for days at a time. My left wrist swells to the point that I cannot even hold something in my hand. I now must wear a brace to keep the bone from twisting. I also now use a walker on many of the days that I can actually get out of my bed.

Face pain; Trigeminal neuralgia (or TN) has set in, which I'll apparently now have forever. It is called the "suicide disease" for a reason. Imagine how painful a condition must be to get that name?! The debilitating pain takes over and cannot be overcome. Potentially effective treatments for this are medications my body will not tolerate. The TN had lessened but in the last week started flaring again, my God does it HURT!!!!

Sciatica; I thought I was going to need a wheelchair. That was very scary. I pray it does not come back. I have headaches that never, ever go away. My blood pressure is high and my heart always feels like it's racing.

I had NONE of these issues prior. I'm now medically exempt from any more covid shots.

In my entire life I never thought I would be the one asking for help but here I am. I'm so scared of losing everything, being homeless, or worse... not being able to get any of the care I need. Many alternative treatments are not covered by my insurance and I desperately need this help.

Due to all of these ongoing reactions/injuries I have been unable to work. The doctors are scrambling to figure out what to do. There are no answers. Only theories and guesses at which pill to prescribe next. So far, nothing is helping. I must rely on whatever hope I can muster up each day to get through.

I now spend most of my time bedridden. It is extremely depressing. Following a criminal assault by my ex-husband in 2015, I nearly lost everything, pulled myself up by my bootstraps and made a positive difference for other abuse victims. I worked with a DA to change a domestic violence law helping to make strangulation a felony crime in Oregon. I helped set up advocacy programs for victims of abuse. I worked hard to get my mental and physical health back on track. I was doing so great! For the first time in years, I actually felt happy, peaceful.

In the blink of a few days after the Pfizer shot literally everything has been ripped right out from under me again. I've drained my savings account while Pfizer makes billions and has zero liability. There is nothing left in my reserves. I'm not sure how to move forward in this world without money and the ability to earn it. I try to imagine navigating this nightmare if I become homeless and remain in this much pain. I'm terrified!

I really need help, which is extremely hard for me to admit, let alone ask for. I wanted to do the right thing by getting vaccinated. I never saw any of this coming. I am humbly asking for your help to keep from losing everything and to pursue alternative treatments that may help me tremendously and are not covered by my health insurance.

I will post updates of doctor/dental visits as they come. I plan on being very open about what's happening to me.

Thank you for reading about my experience, your time is so valuable... I really appreciate it!

Blessings, Paige

Medical Injuries- Alternative treatments- Rent

A few months ago, Chelsea Maguire contracted a mysterious infection that has seriously impacted her heart and brain functions. Her medical staff is still unclear how or when it happened. She has had numerous surgeries since, both exploratory and reparative. Most recently, on October 27th, she had emergency surgery to repair an aneurysm on her brain that was only discovered that same day. She is currently waiting to be transferred to Baylor, Scott & White Hospital in Dallas. There, she will have neurology and heart specialists team up to have open heart surgery to repair a vegetated heart valve. Chelsea’s medical staff are not sure what the future holds at this time. It seems that as soon as one problem is resolved, another rears it’s head. So, they are dealing with each issue as it comes.

Chelsea is a stay at home Mom to 3 children under the age of 5. Two sons named James, and Daniel, and a daughter named Molly. Her husband, Andy, has been out of work on FMLA for the past 10 weeks to care for Chelsea, and his paid benefits will run out very soon. As you can imagine, the medical bills alone for brain and heart specialists are astronomical. Added to that, the hotel and travel expenses that they will incur while waiting for surgery in Dallas will be piling up.

The Maguire’s are a loving, Christian family who have been burdened with some very unfortunate circumstances and they need our help to get through this. Any amount you can give is enough and very much appreciated.

Thank you for you prayers and generosity for the Maguire family!

For those who haven't heard about our nightmare experience, our two beloved dogs (Loki & Greg) and a third dog (Peter) were all hit by a truck in Christmas Valley, OR last week.

We were camping on a peaceful 20 acre piece of land outside of Christmas Valley, and the dogs had been playing freely for 4 straight days. The three dogs were hit by a truck at about 9:30 in the morning on Wednesday on a very quiet, private country road. The truck struck the three dogs and kept on going. Hit and run. It was easily the scariest experience of my entire life. The third dog, Peter, was killed immediately. We could tell that Loki and Greg had both been hit, but it was impossible to know the extent of their injuries. I imagined the worst.

Thoren scooped up both dogs and took off driving as fast as he could. As I frantically dialed all of the animal hospitals I could find, I realized with horror that we were 2 hours away from the closest vet! The kids and I hunkered down in the trailer and cried and read books together and did anything we could think of to ease the pain of what we had witnessed, anything we could think of to ease the not knowing if our dogs were alive or dead. That was the worst part, the not knowing.

I received a call from Thoren about 11:30am. Both dogs were alive! They made it all that way! We were finally able to breathe. Thoren was our hero. And the tears flowed freely. In those two hours I realized just how important a part of our family our precious dogs are. They do everything with us. They are our adventure buddies by day and our cuddle buddies at night. They are like kids to me. I genuinely couldn't imagine our family without them.

I spent the rest of that whole day shaking from head to toe. My throat was sore from all the screaming. The kids were shaken up too, of course. Luckily my parents were able to

come pick us up and take us back to the Bend area where Loki & Greg were staying at an animal hospital. We stayed at their house for the next 4 nights and used it as a base-camp to talk to vets, specialty vets, Bend-area surgeons, and Portland-area surgeons. There was A LOT of phone time. And a lot of stressful conversations.

I am happy to report that Loki's injuries were minor, and he was back to us within a day and a half. He had some head trauma, and bruising, but nothing too terrible.

Greg's injuries were much more serious. As I write this, one week later, he is still at the surgery center in Bend (we decided it was too risky to drive him back to PDX), with at least one more surgery ahead. On the day of the accident, he was assessed to have a head injury (possible brain damage), 6 broken ribs, pulmonary contusions, road rash, and his biggest injury by far, a "degloving" wound that pulled his skin off of his left front leg, all the way up and beyond the armpit.

Upon his arrival at the emergency vet, he was put on oxygen, fluids, pain meds, etc. He remained in an oxygen chamber for the first 3 days. His pupils were different sizes for the first 3 days as well, signifying brain injury.

He was transferred to the surgery/wound center in Bend on Saturday. He was also able to come off of oxygen assistance that day. His brain injury seems to be reconciling back to relatively normal. The biggest obstacle that remains is his leg injury. Early on, we talked to multiple vets about the option of amputation, which was a painstaking thing to even talk about.

Later on Saturday we spoke with the surgeon after he evaluated Greg. His prognosis: "I can save his leg, but it's going to take a lot of time and work." Thoren and I cried with joy. What great news!

Between Greg's time at the emergency vet and the surgery center, he will be hospitalized for 11 days, minimum. Could be up to 14, with a long road to recovery once he is home. On Sunday he underwent a procedure to attach what they call a vacuum bandage. It's a special bandage that keeps his leg under constant vacuum pressure for 3 days at a time. Through this process the skin is healing and the impurities are being drawn out. Every 3 days, Greg is sedated and the whole vacuum bandage is removed to see if the leg is ready for surgery. Once the leg is ready, he will have surgery to reattach the skin on his leg, and surgery to graft skin from his chest over his upper leg and armpit.

We are so eager to have our sweet Greggy home with us after all the trauma. But also are trying to trust that he is where he needs to be to get the best medical care.

The vet clinics are telling us that the bills for Loki & Greg (but mostly for Greg) will total somewhere between $13,000-15,000. We have no pet insurance. We plan to pay for Greg's bills with our savings, but also recognize that this is not a great time to be draining our savings. We have had several offers from folks who want to help but weren't sure how, which is why we created this Go Fund Me. If you feel inclined to give, we would gladly accept some financial help.

We will keep you posted with updates here on this page as we get them!

Thanks everyone <3

Three historically black churches have burned in less than two weeks in one south Louisiana parish, where officials said they had found “suspicious elements” in each case. The officials have not ruled out the possibility of arson, or the possibility that the fires are related.

“There is clearly something happening in this community,” State Fire Marshal H. Browning said in a statement on Thursday.

The host of this campaign is the Seventh District Baptist Association, a 149 year old non-profit religious organization. We are working with the Governor of Louisiana, local leaders, elected officials, the impacted churches and their pastors, other faith organizations and the community to ensure 100% of all funds raised will be evenly distributed to the three churches affected.

Please donate here and look for upcoming opportunities to help these churches and communities begin to heal.

The Seventh District Baptist Association lead by President Freddie Jack, is comprised of approximately 60 Baptist churches from seven parishes in Southwest Louisiana, which includes the three churches affected by the recent fires. The District meets on a quarterly and annual basis emphasizing Christian Education, Evangelism, Discipleship and fellowship in the Body of Christ.

The District's annual session is held the first week in June where we celebrate our legacy and plan continual ministry events to reach the lost and edify the Saints. The District will be holding its 149th Annual Session in Lake Charles, Louisiana the week of June 2nd.

President Jack requested that a Go Fund Me campaign be initiated to show our support for our church families and the communities affected. We are unequivocally committed to aiding our Sister Churches. The donations received are earmarked specifically for the Seventh District's member churches - St. Mary Baptist Church, Greater Union Baptist Church and Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. All of your generous donations will be disbursed equally among all three churches for not only rebuilding their sanctuaries, but for the purchase of all necessities lost in the fires, including pews, sound system, musical instruments, etc.

Seventh District and the Pastors and congregations of the St. Mary Baptist Church, Greater Union Baptist Church and Mt. This is Milton Lechene. He was diagnosis'd with AML-FLT3 Mutation ( Accute Myeloid Leukemia FLT3 Mutation ). The diagnosis was quick and without warning. First part of March, Milton had joint and bone aches. Primary Doctor did xrays then an MRI. Lesions were found on bones. Referred to an Onocologist in Hagerstown. Blood work performed several times. The Oncologist did not like the blood work or test results. Milton was immediately referred to Johns Hopkins Hospital Oncology in Baltimore Maryland. During the Hopkins visit, a review of previous blood work and test were review. Hopkins also performed more blood work and test. On the same day as appointment and Doctors visit at Hopkins. Milton was urgently admitted to hospital. Milton was informed he had a very aggressive Leukemia and time was of the essence. He was admitted and chemo started next day. 7 days of round the clock ( 24 hours a day ) chemo was underway. With a additional boost of Red Devil Chemo administered once a day in addition to continuous running chemo. After 7 days, he was able to rest a couple days. The Doctors informed Milton that he needed to be given more chemo, round the clock for 28 more days. Milton has been in the hospital just under 3 weeks. The journey has just begun for him. From the time of bone pain, to xray, MRI, Oncologist Hagerstown, then Hopkins appointment to current, has been a month. Milton's world has been turned upside down quickly, without warning or preparations. He had to stop work immediately, lost income, trauma of illness, leaving his 2 dogs and informed he would not be home for months. A horrifying experience for him.

Milton is a super guy!!!! A good nature'd man who helps anyone. He is the guy you see stopping to help a senior mow the lawn, shovel snow, pick up a newspaper, grocery shop. Milton has been a superman to many people. Mowing, shoveling, shopping, moving, painting, repairs, you name it. And......he never holds out his hand for a reward. A man that will not say no to help someone. He has a clean record and background.

Now...........Milton needs us !!!!!!
While in the hospital he will receive long periods of chemo, meds, blood transfusions, bone marrow harvests for testing, other testing and so on. Then He will rest as out patient for a week in Baltimore area near hospital. Then back in hospital again for 28 more days of round the clock chemo, tests, transfusions and so on. He will eventually be placed as an out patient who must reside with in one hour of Hopkins Hospital. As which time he will receive a Bone Marrow Stem Cell Transplant. Milton will not be near his home. He will require per the hospital, a 24 hour care provider, housing needs in Baltimore near Hospital for several months, daily special diet needs, meds, doctor visits, transportation needs, HUGE co-pays, list goes on.

We ask for positive thoughts for Milton's recovery. This is a huge burden on him. If you can help Milton with a donation of any size, it would be greatly appreciated. This would be a huge help for him and reduce a little stress, so he can focus on healing and recovery.

Lets join together and help this wonderful man get well, so he can return to helping others.

Pictures of Milton at park with duck. Picture of Milton having his hair cut into a mohawk before he loses his hair. More pictures to come , snuggle time with his puppies and Christmas with his puppies.

THANK YOU !!!!!!!!

Please share with your friends, co-workers, family and social media friends.

It is with great sadness to share that Jessica Hellmann Faczak passed away on August 2, 2017 at the age of 36. She is survived by her husband of 17 years, John, and her four beautiful children, Jack age 13, Katelyn age 11, Emma age 7, and Carter age 4. Given the sudden and unexpected timing of her passing, this fund is being established to help with memorial expenses and to provide assistance to the kids while they grieve their loss.

Additonal details regarding the memorial service will be shared soon.

Anything you can contribute is greatly appreciated!

#Faczakfamilyfund

*****One more update. All of you have shown such immeasurable love and support to Nathan and Eilee. My initial goal for this page was $40,000, and we raised ten times that. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart. Feel free to give any more if you'd like, but I'm not going to raise the goal anymore. Nathan is blown away. He's humbled and grateful. He and Eilee are the sweetest little family. Meg would want me to tell you all to become organ donors. My wife and I signed up yesterday. She would also want me to tell you about her hope in Jesus, both in her life on earth and her new life now.

Meg, we miss you. We'll see you soon.

----

****Posting another update. This page has been live for less than 24 hours. You all have raised a quarter of a million dollars. I can't quit crying. Nathan and Eilee, we love you. Meg, we miss you. I'm raising the goal again. We're sending this girl to college.

My name is Josh Wilson, and I have the privilege of knowing Nathan Johnson. He plays guitar in my band. Nathan loves life. He loves people. He loved his wife, Meg. He talks about her every day. Half of his posts online are about his "boo," his "goddess," his "beauty."

Yesterday, Megan went Home to be with Jesus. At about 2:40am, she gave birth to the beautiful miracle who is "Eilee Kate." The delivery was beautiful and smooth. Nathan and Megan got to be together with Eilee for about 6 hours. Megan held, fed, and burped little Eilee. Nathan says they couldn't sleep because they were too excited. They talked all night and morning.

About 9 or 10am, Meg started having trouble. By 11am, she was Home.

Needless to say, Nathan is devastated. There are no words for this, so I won't really say much more. Here is what I know. Nathan is a wonderful man and an amazing father. He loves his daughter dearly.

How can you help? You can give time, meals, and money. Let's give so much more than we think we can. Believe me, Nate needs it more than us right now.

Let's raise enough money for Nathan to get off the road for at least 6 months. Let's cover his bills and meals so he doesn't have to think about any of that. Let's sleep over at his house and feed sweet Eilee so Nate can rest.

Please consider giving money, meals, prayer, or your own sleep so we can show Nate and Eilee how much we love them.

Thank you all. We are Team Johnson.

* This campaign has gotten so much love and support that I went ahead and upped the goal. Guys, this is amazing. THANK YOU for all of your support. Love you Nate and Eilee.

** Upped the goal AGAIN. You guys are amazing.

***Third time to up the goal. Breathtaking. Can't stop crying. Thank you all for the outpouring of love for our dear friend.

On Monday March 13th, Sara Porter, devoted wife to Dominic Gillette, and loving mother to Mateo (4), Luca (2), and newborn Jonas passed away. This fund is for the “Gillette Boys” - a term Sara lovingly used.

Shortly after giving birth to their third beautiful boy, Jonas on Wednesday, March 8th, Sara contracted an extremely rare bacterial infection. Sara fought hard but within days she succumbed to the infection.

Sara was an amazing wife and mother who dedicated her life to her family, raising the boys, and providing them with a loving home. This is an incomprehensible, unexpected loss for Dominic and the boys and to everybody who knew her and loved her. Sara’s kindness was known the moment you met her and her beautiful smile will stay with us always.

Sara will always be the love of Dominic’s life and he will do everything to continue without her but he needs all of us to be there for him.

This fund is being set up to help him handle the costs associated with this sudden loss and for providing for Mateo, Luca, & Jonas’ future. As a single father of three young boys, Dominic will need all our help and support in the months and years to come. All donations go directly to Dominic and the boys.

Please help in any way you can.

Also please consider sending a card, text, or message to Dominic. Please share stories, pictures, etc. of Sara too so he can show the boys when they are older; you can email those to [email redacted]

And please remember the boys on their birthdays:

- Mateo: May 13
- Luca: November 5
- Jonas: March 8

They are an amazing, beautiful family and, as you all know, Dominic would never ask for help but this is a catastrophic loss for the Gillette family and anything will help.

In Loving Memory of Sara Porter

On November 20th, just 4 days before Thanksgiving, Dave (61) was complaining of being in severe pain, after pulling something in his back the week prior while working. The pain soon became unbareable and he was taken to the emergency room. After several hours and tests, Dave was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. The cancer is not only in his lungs, but has spread into his spine and bones making him incredibly fragile. He tried to do a couple rounds of radiation, to help prolong his life and strengthen his bones, but unfortunately his body did not respond well to the movement of getting out of their house and down their stairs. At this time, all treatment has stopped and the family is keeping Dave as pain free as possible, while enjoying their time with him.

Anyone who knows Dave knows how loyal, kind, selfless and hardworking he naturally is. Dave was still working up until a week of being diagnosed, even with the pain as unbareable as it was; which that right there should tell you how passionate and dedicated of a person he is. As cliche' as it sounds, he is the kind of man who would take the shirt right off his back, if you were in need. He has touched so many lives over the years, with his kind heart and sweet smile. Dave is a an extrodinary husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and grandfather. The world has truly been a remarkable place for so many people, because they are blessed to know him.

Dave and Bev at this point have no money coming in. There are several loop holes that need jumped through, in order for any financial part through Dave's insurance and work; and with Bev staying home to take care of Dave in this time, her income is at a standstill; making it impossible to pay their monthly bills or any hospice and medical treatment that has accrued thus far.

We are hoping to get help to relieve some of the pain and stress these two are experiencing, in such a difficult time. Anything would truly be grateful and appreciated, in helping this amazing couple who more than deserve it.

Dave's medical fund

We wanted to start this fund for Dee Davidson and her family. She is a hard working mother of two young boys (13) and (9). She has begun her battle to beat Breast Cancer. We don't know what her medical expenses will be, but we hope to be able to help and support her.

She is a beautiful, strong, loving, smart and amazing woman. Her and her boys have been thru so much these past years, and have overcome many obstacles. Dee's love for her boys will be the fuel that gives her the strength to fight this.

We ask for your support and love during this time, below is the link you can visit to read about Dee's journey.

http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/deedavidson/journal/view/id/55d068e24db9210b1892a3f1

ABOUT THIS CHARITY RUN: My 14 month old daughter & I are training together for my charity half-marathon run for Old Dog Haven. She will be sitting in her stroller, cheering me on, while I do my best to push & run.

MY RULE: I cannot run the Beat The Blerch unless we hit our goal! Please donate so that my daughter can cheer me on from the sidelines while I zoom (or crawl) past the finish line for these senior dogs!

SUMMARY: I am participating in this charity run for 4 reasons:

#1: To be a healthy role model for my daughter & those around me.
#2: To challenge myself physically & mentally. Running has never been easy for me, but I always feel wonderful when I'm done.
#3: To teach my daughter that she can find creative & fun ways to give back to the community.
#4: Most importantly, to raise funds & awareness for my chosen organization; Old Dog Haven & any other organization that puts their amazing efforts into caring for homeless pets.

With this being said, our goal is to raise $1000 for Old Dog Haven by my half marathon date of: Saturday, September 17th, 2016.

100% of the money we raise will go to Old Dog Haven.

Why Old Dog Haven?
I have many family & friends who have senior pets and I know the cost, time & energy that goes into caring for these senior citizens. It is organizations like Old Dog Haven that help give homeless senior dogs a place to live, a warm bed to lay on, and the medical care they need to live out the rest of their lives.

FROM ODH: Old Dog Haven is a foster-based rescue for senior dogs in Western Washington. We take in dogs 8 years and older, place them in safe, loving homes and provide all veterinary care necessary to restore the dog to health and an optimal quality of life. Priority is given to pulling dogs from shelters and those in hospice condition, but we also assist owners and shelters with finding appropriate homes for their adoptable senior dogs. The majority of ODH dogs are not adoptable and will live with their foster families for life as Final Refuge fosters. We currently have around 300 dogs in care and veterinary expenses run approximately $80K per month. Helping them is sometimes challenging, often expensive, but always rewarding. Our goal is that their last years are happy and that they die safe and at peace, knowing they are loved.

As our veterinary clinics are spread throughout Western Washington and some offer discounts to us, these are averages for what donations will cover. A large portion of our veterinary expenses come from complex surgeries at specialty centers which can run several thousands of dollars.

- $1,000 – Dental cleaning with extraction of painful teeth
- $500 – Cardiology exam with echocardiogram
- $250 – Full set of geriatric laboratory tests
- $100 – X-rays to check for arthritis and spinal conditions
- $25 – One month supply of joint supplements for a large breed dog

Please check out the links below for more ODH Info:

- Website: www.olddoghaven.org
- Final Refuge (permanent foster) dogs: Final Refuge
- Adoptable ODH dogs: Adoptable Dogs
- Adoptable dogs courtesy cross-posted for others (owners or shelters that want to adopt out the dog themselves): More Adoptable Dogs

Old Dog Haven is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization and is registered as a charity with the WA Secretary of State.

THANK YOU: To those that have already donated & to those that will be donating. We truly appreciate it & are so excited to be able to help such a great cause!

Running With Oli For Old Dog Haven

Dear friends and family,
God has taken another angel from us. Alessandra has touched the lives of so many with her constant smile and her positive attitude. She was such a beautiful person inside and out, and would always put others before herself. Tragically lost, we want to reach out to you. We ask only the minimum to please help her family during this difficult time. Please, if even a dollar, anything will help. The money will go towards the family in this time of need. It means more to me, us, everyone than we can write on paper. Thank you for your support. God bless...

Alessandra Barlas

We ask that you please consider helping our family during this time for travel expenses, lodging, and medical bills.
With Love,
The Case, Baker, and Eisenberg Families

NO ONE FIGHTS ALONE

Thank you for reaching out to help the Goetzes during this challenging season. Many of you are praying, and so many of you have also wanted to donate resources to help cover expenses...we are blown away by this generosity of spirit in the community.

In the short run we know that there will be financial stress due to loss of Davy's income (as she stops working to care for Maggie) ....we are so grateful that you are willing to help them bridge that gap.

On behalf of Jake and Davy, Paisley and Magnolia, thank you so much.

Warmly,

Magnolia's Online Piggy Bank

My heart breaks for Mason’s mom and loved ones. My husband coached football for 30 years and we are both Oregon grads and big Duck fans. The fact that Mason died from an injury sustained playing the game he loved is especially sad. I wish his mom and friends could have seen him grow into the wonderful man he was destined to become. God bless.
