<div>On Wednesday, May 20th, around 3:25PM, our family’s lives changed forever. My brother, Berry Lemar Henderson, tragically lost his life after a violent incident in West Hollywood near Hollywood Blvd and Las Palmas.

<div>Berry was like a gentle giant; cool, calm, authentic man who enjoyed music, spending time in the city he loved, and living life in his own peaceful way. He was not homeless. He was deeply loved by his family and friends, and his life mattered.
</div>

<div>What began as an ordinary day turned into unimaginable violence. Berry was first attacked by a vicious dog while the owner stood nearby. Moments later, 3 men joined in and violently assaulted him, causing devastating injuries. Witnesses watched in shock as the scene unfolded, leaving excessive blood across the sidewalk and walls nearby.

<div>After the incident, police arrived on the scene as the individuals involved ran into the Tattoo Doctors shop nearby. When first responders arrived, Berry was found injured and in distress, sitting against a wall, struggling to breathe and hyperventilating. He also suffered from asthma, making his condition even more critical in those final moments. He wasn’t sent to the local hospital but transported 20 minutes to Cedars-Sinai Hospital, where he later passed away from his injuries that evening.

<div>Even more heartbreaking, Berry passed away alone before our family could be notified. No family should ever have to learn of a loved one’s death in this way.

<div>Although our hearts are shattered, we take comfort in knowing that Berry is now at peace with our beloved mother, Lisa Henderson.
</div>

<div>Berry’s life ended far too soon, and our family is grieving this unimaginable loss. We are asking for help to assist our family.

Support for Berry’s Family After Tragic Loss

<div>On January 4, 2026, our family lost someone we love deeply and unexpectedly. Our cousin, Bobbi Smith, was tragically killed in a car accident in Long Beach at the intersection of 6th Street and Atlantic Avenue.

<div>Bobbi was more than just a cousin. She was a daughter, a friend, and a light in the lives of so many people. She had a kind heart, a generous spirit, and a way of making people feel seen and valued. Whether it was through her laughter, her compassion, or simply showing up when someone needed her, Bobbi made a lasting impact on everyone who knew her.

<div>This loss has left our family devastated. We are still trying to process how someone so full of life can be gone so suddenly. Along with the emotional pain, we are now facing unexpected financial burdens related to funeral expenses and other arrangements.

<div>We are asking for help during this incredibly difficult time. Any donation, no matter the amount, will go directly toward helping Bobbi’s family cover funeral and memorial costs and relieve some of the financial stress so they can focus on grieving, healing, and supporting one another.

Support TimR's Battle with Neuroendocrine Cancer

<div>We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Angel Mejia on 2/13/25. Angel had been battling bone marrow cancer for some time, even though through it all he always held a positive, uplifting spirit and found a way to bring light to a room.

<div>He left a loving family of 3 brothers and 3 sisters, including his mom. He was a very family-oriented man, and his family meant everything to him. He enjoyed hobbies of DJing, collecting vinyls, and hosting cookouts for everybody. If you were close to Angel, you knew he would go above and beyond for events such as Super Bowl Sunday, birthdays, and special occasions. Music has always been a part of Angel; since he was a kid, he fell in love with the culture of hip-hop and breakdancing. In his free time, he would practice scratching, mixing, and listening to records with his siblings, nieces, and nephews. He left so many beautiful memories that we will hold in our hearts forever. We will miss him dearly, and he will never be forgotten.

<div>Anybody who knows Angel knows that he was a very private person and reserved, yet once you talked to him, he was very easygoing and made you feel comfortable. He was always independent and did everything in his power to provide for his family. We hope you understand as a family <strong>it is difficult for us to put his personal business out there today and to finally ask for help, but with sudden expenses, anything is deeply appreciated.</strong>
