<div>Hi, my name is Michael. I am trying to raise money for my mom to get her into a new place. <strong>She has really bad health issues.</strong> She has massive back issues that caused her to stop working back in 2005. She also has congestive heart failure and suffers from a severe lack of oxygen. She has to wear oxygen 24/7. I have been trying to help her to the point I gave up everything. She has neuropathy and a whole lot more going on. I can honestly say my mom has died three times and has come back. She is 54 years of age, and it hurts me to see that her health has hit rock bottom. Due to her back, she can't move around too well. I am her caretaker; me and my girlfriend take care of her. We have been trying to get into a place, but no matter what, because of the cost of living and bills, we can't afford it. We live right now in a motel that takes over $650 in rent just for one month. My mom is fully disabled and will never be able to work again in her life. Me and my girlfriend are currently fighting to keep her from being homeless. We now stay with her due to the fact that she can't move around too much without falling. We've been homeless for the past 2 years on and off due to the fact that I lost my disability. Due to my physical and mental state, I can no longer work, and I have been fighting for my check for the past 2 years. <strong>All I want is my mom to be safe and in her home and be able to die in a home.</strong> Having a home is a luxury that we have not been able to have in the past 3 years. I don't know what to do anymore. I have sold off everything that I can think of just to provide. I'm not typically the type of person to ask for help because of the way the world is these days. I am scared to ask for help. My mom has been sick for a while and has some issues that have currently come up. They found fluid in her lungs, which could lead to more significant health issues. My girlfriend has autism and other things, so there's a lot that she can't do. I don't drive because the last car wrecks I have been in scared me to the point that I don't want to drive anymore. Our current living conditions are poor due to the fact of slumlords not wanting to fix things where we stay, which is a motel. When we don't have money or nowhere else to move to, that's just one step away from being homeless again, and it scares me. It scares me for my mom, and it scares me for my girlfriend. I can't even sleep at night because I'm so scared of where we will live. The place is not safe, and I have people trying to break in more often than not, and it's scary. I try to protect my mom with everything that I can and my girlfriend, but this is not what this is about. <strong>This is about helping my mom get into a better place where I can get her the better help that she needs in a home where I can keep a constant eye on her.</strong> I'm not asking for a lot here; I'm just asking for help. If I had one wish, it would be to give my mom a two-bedroom home where she can lay her head and not worry about people constantly breaking into her motel room. The world that we live in today is really not all that safe, and I'm willing to do anything it takes. If I have to reach out, the story is really complicated, to be honest. Because of my mom's health issues, a doctor in Tulsa, Oklahoma, messed my mom's back up during back surgery and created a lot of nerve damage. My mom wanted to sue but could never afford the money for a lawyer, so she has been this way since her early thirties. My mom takes a handful of medications every night just to keep her alive and her heart beating due to the congestive heart failure. She is also a diabetic. The furthest she can walk is to the end of a driveway and back, and at that point, it's already too much. Her back is bone on bone, and she will probably be in a wheelchair before long. She's got two more surgeries coming up that I know of. She's had a bad knee that has been replaced twice. There's literally so much going on with my mom's health that I can't even think of all the health issues because there's so many. The motel room that we stay in has black mold in it, and due to the fact we have no place to live, we have no choice but to deal with it and breathe it in, which is making us sick. We don't have any family left to depend on, just my mom, me, my girlfriend, and my sister, but she doesn't ever come around. Please help. Please. We're in America, and Americans are suffering too much between the cost of living and inflation. We can't afford a whole lot. Food and necessities are one thing, but trying to get into a place where we can be home and be able to take care of ourselves properly is another. I say this is for my mom, but really, you would be helping my mom and helping me help her. I'm not going to beg; all I can do is ask you for your blessings. Thank y'all. Have a blessed day.
