My name is Landon, and I’ve dedicated my life to helping others heal—first through energy work like Reiki, and now by pursuing massage therapy. In 2021, I started my own energy work business after receiving my Reiki certification in 2018. I loved supporting my clients’ journeys, but after traveling and having my phone stolen, I lost touch with my business and couldn’t pick it back up when I returned in 2022. I tried to make ends meet with various jobs, but the stress of corporate environments led to panic attacks and eventually forced me to resign. I’ve always been passionate about movement and healing, studying dance and body modalities at ASU and teaching color guard. But that work is seasonal, and with the season just ending, I’m left without enough income to cover the rising costs of groceries, rent, and gas. I also worked in the medical field, where I helped unionize my department to stand up for fair treatment. Unfortunately, management retaliated, and I lost my job after being unfairly blamed for a workplace injury. The lack of empathy and support left me physically and emotionally drained, and I had to step away for my own well-being. Despite these setbacks, I was accepted into massage therapy school and am grateful to have support from FAFSA for tuition. However, with the loss of my business and jobs, I’m now facing the real possibility of not being able to pay rent this coming New Year. I’m doing everything I can—taking on energy work clients for Reiki and Tarot/Astrology readings & DoorDashing—but it’s not enough right now. Finishing massage therapy school will allow me to find more clients in need of holistic healing. I know I’m here to support others on their healing journeys, and with your help, I can rebuild stability and continue making a difference in my community.
