Kari Ganson

My name is Kari, and I am reaching out because I need help paying a retainer fee for an attorney. I feel like I’m not getting the legal representation I need for my case. My current public defender does not even know my name, let alone my story. My charges were supposed to be dismissed because I completed a 9-month long program called Second Chance, but instead, my lawyer wants me to sign a plea deal for five years in jail. I am scared and frustrated, and I believe that a paid lawyer will actually listen to me and fight for me in a way a public defender cannot. In addition to fighting my legal battle, I am currently taking classes at Full Sail University. I am just 7 months away from achieving my bachelor’s degree in web development, and I have maintained a GPA of 3.0 or higher the entire time I’ve attended college. If I go to jail, I will be unable to graduate and will be left with significant student debt. This is my dream, and I have worked so hard to get this far. Having the right legal support is so important, and I know that with a dedicated attorney, I will have a fair chance to defend myself, protect my education, and move forward with my life. I am doing everything I can to make sure my voice is heard, but I can’t do it alone. That’s why I am asking for help from my community.
