<div>Hi everyone!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My name is Effie and I am going back to school! Beauty/esthetics school that is! It's something I wanted to do for a long time and I need help getting there. The total cost of tuition is 17K. This will pay for all my materials and secure my spot. Any amount is helpful and I would be forever grateful.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>No raffles, sweepstakes, giveaways, or returns on investment are offered in exchange for any donations made to this GoFundMe.
</div>

Helping Effie Start Esthetics School

<div>
 My name is Dennis Haynes, and I am organizing this personal fundraiser for Abass Jammeh and his family in Gambia, Africa. Abass is the oldest of three children and lives with his younger siblings and grandfather.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 After Abass’s mother died about two years ago, he had to leave school because his family could no longer pay the fees. Abass wants to return to school and complete his education so he can work and build a better future for his family. His younger siblings also need support to stay in school.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 The family has shared that the three students’ yearly school fees are D40,000 each, or D120,000 total. The school year opens on September 21, so the first $4,000 fundraising milestone is intended to cover those yearly fees and the most urgent school-day costs, including registration, uniforms, books, supplies, and transportation. A $10,000 stretch goal would allow us to support more of the family with food and essential household needs.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 I have already sent direct support for food and a sibling’s medical treatment. Funds raised will be received by me through GoFundMe and sent to Abass and his family every two weeks as donations come in. I will share updates as funds are sent.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 Thank you for helping give Abass and his siblings a chance to return to school.

<div><strong>Help Me Evade Homelessness &amp; Repair My Smile After Police Violence</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Hi everyone,
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I’m reaching out because I need your help to get to safety - and to heal.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I face imminent homelessness December 3, 2025. In 2024, I was violently assaulted during a protest by police in Utah, a place where conservative politics have made life not just difficult, but dangerous for people like me. During the assault, some of my teeth were broken. The physical pain was excruciating, but the emotional toll of living in a place where state violence goes unchecked is just as devastating.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I’m trying to relocate to a safer, more supportive environment after moving to Oakland for work and what I thought would be a safe living situation. I am not safe where I am at. I would like to find a room in Oakland where I can begin to rebuild my life. But moving into a place isn’t cheap, and neither is dental care. I’m asking for your help covering:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Moving expenses (truck rental, deposit, gas, etc.)</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Emergency dental surgery (replacing or repairing broken teeth)</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Temporary housing and survival costs during this critical transition</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>I’m not just moving - I’m escaping. This isn’t about “starting over” for fun. This is about survival.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If you’ve ever wondered what you can do to help someone targeted by systemic violence - this is one way.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Any amount helps. Sharing this helps. Your support gives me a fighting chance.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Any additional funds will go to PTSD therapy treatment.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>With gratitude and resilience,
</div>

<div>To all those reading: I hope you and your family are well.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you to everyone that donated to help me and my children. We have now raised enough money to register to travel, but are uncertain of when the border will open.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Until then, I am worried about our safety. It is unsafe to stay in one area, so we need to move from place to place, which costs money. Every time we go to a new place and think it is safe, a shelling falls near us, killing our neighbours. We have been lucky to nearly escape bombing so far, but we live in constant fear that we won't be so lucky next time.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I don't know how I'll feed my family. I have 3 kids: Malak is 9, Eman is 6 and Kenan is just 40 days old. (Kenan needs milk). I am also responsible for my extended family - my mother, father and young sisters. My sister, Wasal, is sick and suffers from bodily atrophy in her right kidney. She has a one-year-old child and is also pregnant.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I am in Southern Gaza, but my husband is stuck in Northern Gaza, which has been separated from the rest of Gaza by the IDF. He travelled there and is now stuck. It has been hard to be separated from him, especially with a newborn.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My children go to bed hungry some days because of the high price of bread - on the day of writing this message, two children and a woman were killed in the rush to buy bread. My baby cries a lot because of the lack of milk, and the price is very expensive. With great difficulty, we can feed the children one meal a day. If we have the money, it costs about $100 to prepare food for one family for a day, and the food consists of canned beans, lentils or fava beans. There is no meat in the market.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Just to survive, we need about $4000 monthly. I feel so helpless. Being in a warzone, the cost of basic necessities like food and clothing has gone up drastically. A bag of flour costs $150. A box of diapers costs $35. A kilo of onions costs $35. I can't afford to feed and clothe my children, and it breaks my heart.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The money that you contribute would be lifesaving - in total, your funds would be shared amongst three families for food, clothing, new tents, medical treatment and general safety.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div> Your help has already given me hope for a better future for my family. Please help us - even if it is with some spare change. If you don't have the means to donate, then please help me share my story with your friends and family. I am struggling to make sure we can get to safety, and that my children can live like the rest of the children in the world.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Alaa is a Palestinian from Gaza, who now lives in Belgium. He is doing fundraising efforts on our behalf, because we can’t receive money directly in Gaza. Your donations will fund us directly. We are suffering and don't want to die here, but you can help save us. Thank you for your compassion and support, and thank you for reading to the end. We are so grateful for your help - God bless you.

<div>Help Manal and her orphaned children survive hunger, pain, and the deadly cold
</div>
<div>Hello, my name is Lujain, and I am sharing with you the story of a resilient Palestinian mother named Manal. She is not just a mother—she is a warrior, quietly fighting for the survival of her children. After losing her husband, being displaced repeatedly, and having her home completely destroyed, Manal now lives in a torn tent with her children in the Al-Mawasi area of Gaze

<div><br />
</div>
<div>Manal is not asking for the impossible—only a chance for her children to live a life of dignity, free from fear, hunger, and despair.

<div>The Loss of Her Husband: The Beginning of a Never-Ending Darkness
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Manal’s husband was the backbone of their family, working hard to provide a decent life. But COVID-19 struck cruelly, taking his life in a moment, and leaving Manal to face everything alone. His passing was not just a loss—it shattered their foundation of security. Suddenly, she became both a mother and a father, struggling to provide water, medicine, and warmth.

<div>Displaced 6 Times… and a Home Completely Destroyed
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>War in Gaze left them with nothing. In just a short period, Manal and her children were forced to flee their home six times, leaving behind everything they owned. Eventually, their home was completely demolished
</div>
<div><br />
</div><img alt="" media_type="3" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/79590169_1754328696655963_r.jpeg" width="100%" />

<div><br />
</div>
<div>Now, they live in a thin, fragile tent that offers no protection from rain or winter cold. Each night, Manal looks up at the sky—more afraid of rain than of missiles, because a single downpour can flood their tent and wash away the last remnants of dignity.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Hunger Is a Deadly Reality
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Food prices in Gaze have more than doubled, and Manal can barely feed her children. Often, they go to bed hungry, or share a single meal that cannot fill their stomachs.
</div>
<div>Manal says: “Sometimes, I skip my own meal so I can give my little boy just one more piece of bread.”

<div>Kareem’s Injury… and Medicine Is Out of Reach
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Her eldest son Kareem was injured near an aid distribution center during gunfire. He underwent surgery on his leg, but now struggles to walk. He urgently needs physical therapy and regular medical care—but the family cannot afford any of it.
</div>
<div>Manal says: “Every painful step he takes breaks me—once because he is hurting, and once because I can’t help him.”

<div>Education: A Flicker of Hope in the Dark
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Manal’s children—Mai (20), Ezz (14), and Sarah (12)—still dream of returning to school. But how? They have no books, no pens, no classrooms, and no security. The dream of education still lives in their hearts—but it fades every day under the sound of drones and the constant fear of displacement.

<div>The Only Solution: Leaving Gaze
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Manal dreams of escaping with her children to a safe place where they can access treatment, education, and a chance at life. But the cost of leaving Gaze is extremely high—about per person. It’s a large number, but it’s nothing compared to the value of a single human life
