Grateful hearts & a quick update on where things stand
Hi everyone,
We want to take a moment to say a heartfelt thank you to each and every person who has donated, shared our page, and sent such kind words our way. When you go through something like a house fire, it is hard to put into words how much every bit of support means. Just knowing we aren't walking this road alone gives us strength.
Where things are right now: We have made headway with our removal and site cleanup after getting permits and we are working step-by-step through the next phase of clearing the lot. We are still running off a generator $GAS$ as marion county will not let us have electricity until the burnt home is completely removed and a new home is replaced. Make that make sense. Besides gas prices they are breaking me on permit fees and dump fees. Every load is around $300 @9 loads with 3 to 4 more to go. Daily Gas is running $60 to $80 daily vs. A electricity bill. My savings has been wiped out.
Your generous contributions are helping us cover daily essentials, care for our family and manage the immediate expenses standard aid hasn't touched. The home was retired and unable to get insurance, everything is being paid out of pocket. The home was a total loss.
We are continuing to sort through logistics for our living situation and the next chapter of rebuilding. On top of the house fire I am experiencing eye retinal detachment and under Dr. Care and have to take the next 6 to 8 weeks off of work to help my eye heal. So i am at a total loss of income. If everyone could please keep sharing the go fund me, I greatly appreciate it. Keep us in your thoughts and prayers love you all so much.
