Angela, Tomika and I find this near and dear to our hearts, that these children from our Alma mater have instruments that work, uniforms they can have pride in and show the heart they have. Support the SHS School Band of Blue $1 Drive, Let’s Keep The Music Going. For decades, Selma High’s Band of Blue has been the heartbeat of the Saints. From football games, and Pep rallies to parades, and city events, representing Selma with pride. This historic award-winning band has provided the backdrop to our most cherished memories. The students of Selma High School’s Band of Blue are calling on us, the citizens of Selma to donate, with a simple act of support. If Every citizen, former citizen, alumni, friends with a heart for music, and businesses would give a $1. This could be life changing for this band program. With our 1st goal of $10,000 by November 1st! Once upon a time maybe you were a member of this most beloved and coveted fraternity of musicians, dancers, and majorettes; do you remember that feeling… of marching in with your bandmates? Knowing that the community was in attendance to see you shine? Today’s children would like to know that feeling, without the burden of lack. Today, they need us. We’re asking every citizen to give just $1 to keep the music alive — to ensure our young musicians have the instruments, uniforms, and opportunities they deserve.
