I am a double amputee, and our only vehicle that I can get into is broken down. I have to transfer from my chair to the floorboards, where all the seats are in the stow position. I scoot inside and ride on the floor with no seat belt or airbag protection. A wreck would severely injure me, if not fatally. I will be getting prosthetics soon and will likely need assistance covering the cost of those that Medicare won't pay for. I just want the freedom to go as I please and would likely be driving if we can attain a modified vehicle. My goal is to go back to school and become a limb loss counselor. Paying it forward and helping people has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember. Being able to have reliable, safe transportation would be tantamount to that goal. 
 
 
 My newly adopted puppy, Rubi, has a congenital deformity of her back legs. She has to ride in the floor with me, but the motion of the vehicle directly below us makes her car sick. It is also unsafe for her to travel that way as well. 
 
 
 I've always tried to do good in this world. Helping people was my passion before I became disabled. And while I might have lost my freedom from mobility challenges, I've never lost my passion for caring for others. This van would be a blessing and life-changing one at that. I only want to do good but I need some help. Until now my pride has kept me from seeking this kind of help from the community. But truly all I want to do is some good and feel like I've got a purpose. So I vow to pay it forward and do good where I'm called to.

Help Robert Get a Handicapped Van

For the past month our company, Permaculture Guru, LLC has been part of a pilot program at Spring Grove Cemetery to use our goats to remove invasive species of plants, such as Honeysuckle and Ivy from the grounds in an ecologically responsible way.  It has been an immensly popular program, and gained many regular visitors and supporters from the surrounding communities.  It has not only been hugely successful at removing the unwanted vegetation, but become a beloved gathering spot for children and people who understand the importance of taking care of this earth and supporting the local ecosystem!  <a href="http://www.cincinnati.com/story/news/2016/02/19/goats-graze-spring-grove-cemetery/80605160/" target="_blank"><a href="http://www.cincinnati.com/story/news/2016/02/19/goats-graze-spring-grove-cemetery/80605160/" target="_blank" class="" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">http://www.cincinnati.com/story/news/2016/02/19/goats-graze-spring-grove-cemetery/80605160/</a></a> On the night of March 21, 2016, we were dealt a tragic setback!  There was a dog attack on our sweet goats!!!   Six of our goats have been very seriously injured, and have sustained injuries that far exceed what we were to gain from this exciting contract! The proper authorities have been contacted, but we need the help of the our new friends to be able to care for these goats and rehabilitate them.  Our business was just taking off, and we do not have stores of capital to pay the vet bills we will incur!  We will use this money to pay for the care and medication for the goats so they have a chance to recover from this horrible act of violence.  These goats are part of our business, yes, but they were first loved members of our family.  They know the sound of our cars and footsteps and whistles and claps when we are near, and we love them and they love us and depend on us, so it would mean the world to us to be able to afford to keep them and nurse them back to health.  We will not let this one act take them away from the community!  We want to continue using our goats to have them happily munching on the vegitation throughout the city, and beyond.  We dream of bringing not only sustainable land management to the public eye, but the joy of becoming more connected with nature and the community!  Please help us!  This is only the beginning, but if we falter now, it will be so much harder to regain these important steps in the right direction. We have been so overwhelmed at the outpouring of love and support from everyone!  We reached our initial goal within the first 24 hours of the campaign!  We would like to have a memorial service for Prince Charming to spread his ashes, and plan a memorial in his honor, and will let you know when those arrangements have been made, but first we need to keep focusing on the recovery of the other goats.  We can't thank you all enough for your support!  Since so many people have responded, we decided to increase the goal, and let all of our supporters know that any monies raised above what the medical expenses are will be put toward the memorial and a live camera system, so you all can follow their progress and safety. <img class="not-resizable" src="https://2dbdd5116ffa30a49aa8-c03f075f8191fb4e60e74b907071aee8.ssl.cf1.rackcdn.com/10107539_1458732444.7378_funddescription.jpg" alt="" width="100%" />

Save the Spring Grove Goats

On December 23rd, Stu was hit by a car. Lucky to be alive, he suffered severe leg injuries. He has been in the hospital ever since. Even though he is receiving disability now, his income has been reduced and it's not clear when he will be able to resume working. He and his fiance have four girls, a dog and a house to continue to take care of. Insurance only covers so much and medical bills will be coming soon. Anyone who knows Stu, knows he is a hard working, inspiring and incredible father, husband-to-be, brother, son, band member &amp; friend. His life is forever changed by this accident.  Simple activities like playing sports with his kids, driving, playing the drums or even walking are no longer guaranteed.  Despite all this, he is extremely positive and motivated so if there is anyone who can overcome these obstacles, it's him! He didn't deserve this and his family shouldn't have to suffer more with financial worry.

Nearly $10,000 in just two days - WE LOVE TUCKER'S!!  The outpouring of support is amazing!!   When I woke up on Tuesday and heard about the fire, I was devastated and wanted to help.  Just from paying Tucker's low prices and their limited hours, I knew Joe and Carla are not making tons of money.  This is the kind of set back that can close a small restaurant forever.  As you can imagine, Joe and Carla have been overwhelmed by what has happened.  The early estimate was very low, from a fire inspector the night of the fire.  It appears their insurance will not be covering as much as they had hoped.  The family is busy getting estimates, calls, inspections; a realistic rebuild budget will take more time, and I hope to post a statement from the family when they have time to make one. I started this campaign before I had heard a damage estimate - just on the assumption that any extra money would help as the kitchen is closed and they rebuild.  The $5K initial goal was my arbitrary guess, and donations quickly rose, I increased the goal.   A real kitchen rebuild (replacing damaged appliances, electrical and interior elements, upgrading fire suppression, etc), will likely be far higher.  I'm going to increase the goal to $20,000 - again, without hard numbers. We all hope that the family and place we love will come through this stronger than ever!  Feel free to keep posting questions/comments.  I'm a stay-at-home dad, so I figured I had more time than most to set this up and help out.  The Tucker's family is thrilled about the outpouring of love and support - they are a community asset we can't picture OTR without!!
