<div> For those who knew him, there was truly no one like Big Larry. He was famous in every room he walked into. He had a presence that was impossible to miss and a heart that was even bigger. There wasn’t a soul he couldn’t make smile, laugh, or feel welcomed. He had a way of making everyone feel like family, and anyone who met him walked away with a story, a laugh, or a memory they’ll never forget.

<div> Losing him has left a hole in our family and in the lives of so many people who loved him. We are raising funds to help give Big Larry the celebration of life he deserves here in Florida, as well as to help with his dogs’ medical bills and getting his home and affairs situated. All funds raised will be used to support these needs and honor his memory here in the community he called home.

<div>My name is Darlene Sanders, and I never imagined that in just one year, my cancer journey would change so dramatically. I truly never thought I would need to ask for help again, but today I find myself in a place where I genuinely need the love and support of others.
</div>

<div>Before anything else, I want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who stood beside me last year. Your prayers, encouragement, generosity, and love carried me through 6½ months of chemotherapy, 32 radiation treatments, breast surgery, and some of the most difficult days of my life. I will never forget what you did for me.
</div>

</div>
<div>I was diagnosed with breast cancer on June 26, 2025. Unfortunately, despite everything we have done to fight it, my cancer has progressed rapidly. I am now living with Stage IV metastatic breast cancer, which has spread to my bones, including my spine, lumbar vertebrae L2, L3 and L4, pelvis and femur, and has now also spread to my liver.

<div>Today, I am using a walker and am no longer physically able to work. My immediate priority, under the guidance of my oncologist, Dr. Mindy Bohrer, and her incredible medical team, is to gain control of these fast-growing cancer cells, reduce my pain, and hopefully regain enough strength and mobility to get off the walker.
</div>

<div>I have begun another round of daily radiation treatments for three weeks, targeting the cancer in my bones. I still have a great deal of treatment ahead of me, but this next phase is different from the traditional chemotherapy I previously endured.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I am beginning Kisqali, a targeted CDK4/6 cancer medication, together with hormone-blocking therapy to help slow and control the cancer. I am also expected to begin Zometa infusions to strengthen and protect my bones. My medical team and I will continue addressing the cancer in my liver and determining the best course of treatment as we move forward.
</div>

<div>Our goal is to slow and control this cancer, protect my bones, manage my pain and symptoms, restore as much mobility as possible, and give me the best quality of life we can.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My faith remains at the center of this journey. I believe deeply in Jesus Christ and in His healing power. I pray for healing, for more time, and for quality of life—not only for myself, but so that I can continue loving my family, helping others, and hopefully become a walking testimony of His power, grace, and faithfulness.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Unfortunately, this fight also comes with an enormous financial burden. I still have an outstanding balance of approximately $4,400 from my previous radiation treatments, and Kisqali has a retail cost of approximately $19,100 per month, with insurance and assistance determining how much of that cost I will ultimately be responsible for. In addition to treatment expenses, I now need help with my basic household bills and living expenses because I am unable to work while I wait for my SSDI benefits to begin.

<div>Any support received through this fundraiser will help with medical bills, medications, treatments, infusions, monitoring, transportation, household expenses, food, and other necessities while I focus my strength and energy on fighting this disease.
</div>
