Team Bubbly, My sister cannot tell us where it hurts. She is 16. She feels everything. But she cannot explain any of it. My name is Haziq. I am 19 years old. And I am her full-time caregiver. Her name is Musfirah. She loves music. She loves car rides. And when she sees our father, she jumps with a joy that doesn’t need words. That’s how she speaks. But inside her body… there is a storm we don’t fully understand. Musfirah lives with severe autism and cerebral palsy. She depends on us for everything — eating, moving, even going to the restroom. Our home is not built for her. When she needs to go outside, I carry her down three floors. Every time she needs the restroom, Mama and I support her. She weighs 40 kilos. Her spine is curved. And every day, her body is fighting itself. After a dental surgery last year Things got worse: She struggles to sleep. She deals with constant constipation. Sometimes her eyes roll back… possibly seizures. And when she is in pain… we don’t know where it is coming from. For 14 years, she has survived on the same limited food: Mashed tortilla, milk, and curry. Not by choice. Because her body cannot accept more. Every new medication, every new food… is a risk. We have spent years going from doctor to doctor. Consultations. Medications. Guesses. Nothing has given us answers. Recently, doctors suggested something new: A deeper investigation. Tests like Whole Genome Sequencing. For the first time, it felt like we might understand what is actually happening inside her. But we cannot afford it. And in Pakistan Many of these tests have to be sent abroad... International reviews are very expensive. My father did his masters caring for me. While Mum stayed nights caring for musfirah I left university to take care of her. We tried to carry this quietly for years. But now… We need help. This fundraiser will go towards: Finding answers — through advanced testing and consultations Making our home safe and accessible for her Medical travel, treatment, and ongoing care We don’t promise a miracle. We don’t promise a cure. We are just trying to understand her pain. And Support her care Even a 1% improvement… would change her life. I made a promise to her on her 16th birthday.
