Fort Worth City Band

The Fort Worth City Band has commissioned an original work by nationally recognized Texas composer Carol Brittin Chambers to honor three legendary music educators: Cindy Lansford, Melodianne Mallow, and Jolette Wine. These remarkable women devoted decades to teaching, mentoring, and building outstanding band programs throughout North Texas. Each has been inducted into the Phi Beta Mu Texas Bandmasters Hall of Fame, recognizing a lifetime of distinguished service to students, music education, and the band profession. Their influence extends far beyond the classroom. Through their leadership, friendship, and commitment to excellence, they have inspired generations of students and educators and helped shape the rich tradition of Texas band music.
