Hi my name is Debbie and I’m setting up this GFM to try to help a wonderful rescuer in Dubai who is really struggling with enormous vet bills for the care of little strays he rescues.
Last week he stepped in and rescued 16 cats/kittens from a horrific hoarding situation, who were all extremely sick and covered in ringworm and other critical illnesses, when no one else offered to step in and help.
He is a saviour of these cats but he simply cannot do this alone and needs YOUR help. A COPY OF THE VET BILL IS ATTACHED. You can also donate DIRECTLY to the vet if you prefer.
PLEASE LETS HELP HIM ….. this is his words what an amazing soul
A few days ago, I stepped into one of the most overwhelming rescue situations I have faced.
More than 17 cats and kittens were being kept together in one room by one person. When I intervened, I managed to get 16 of them out and into veterinary care.
Sadly, for some of the kittens, we were already too late.
One mother had given birth to 7 newborn kittens. When I rescued her, the babies were only around 4 days old, but only 3 were still alive. According to the previous owner, the other 4 had already died from lack of nutrition.
Another mother originally had 5 kittens. Only 3 survived. They were around 55 days old when rescued and arrived suffering from severe ringworm and ear mites. They are currently receiving treatment at the clinic.
We also rescued a female who had reportedly been repeatedly getting pregnant and losing her kittens. She was found with an abdominal hernia and needs to be spayed and have the hernia surgically repaired.
Several adult males were rescued as well. Most were not neutered and none were properly vaccinated. They had ear mites and other individual medical issues. One has a problem/injury in his mouth, while another has cryptorchidism — a retained testicle — making his neutering procedure more complicated.
We also found a 4-month-old kitten with a severely damaged eye. Unfortunately, the eye cannot be saved and he will need eye enucleation surgery — surgical removal of the eye.
Thankfully, despite everything, they tested negative for Parvo and FIV/FeLV.
Because of the severe ringworm exposure, the cats also required medicated antifungal baths, while the affected kittens remain under treatment.
We have now started, one by one, to vaccinate, neuter/spay and treat them, while desperately trying to find foster and forever homes.
The clinic has now provided an estimated bill of:
AED 28,106 — approximately £5,790
This includes their medical treatments, surgeries, vaccinations, neutering/spaying and one month of clinic boarding.
However, this will most likely NOT be the final amount. The kittens suffering from severe ringworm are expected to require more than one month of treatment and boarding, and additional medical needs may arise along the way.
Through my previous local appeal in the UAE, a few incredibly kind people have already contributed around:
❤️ AED 3,000 — approximately £620
This leaves approximately:
, — £, — .
I am a solo rescuer, not an organisation or shelter. These 16 cats came into my care on top of around 30 other rescue cases I am already responsible for.
I simply cannot carry this amount alone.
That is why I am now reaching outside my local community and asking for your help.
❤️ £ £ .
If many people give just a little, together we can cover their treatment and give these cats the fresh start they deserve.
They have already made it out of that room.

One share might reach exactly the person who can help. ❤️
