My name is Jody, and I am reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for help for my younger brother Michael Stoddart, who was tragically declared a paraplegic in 2021 after an accident in Zimbabwe. Since then, his life has been filled with unimaginable challenges. Michael is unable to care for himself and lives in a dilapidated rural home without electricity, water, or a proper toilet. Most of the roof is gone, leaving the family exposed to harsh weather. His condition requires daily medical attention—including treatment for severe bed sores, recurring catheter infections, and repeated leg fractures. He urgently needs a wheelchair, proper bedding, diapers, food, and home repairs to live with dignity. He also requires a nurse to visit him at least 4 days a week to ensure his survival. Mr Carlsson, Mrs Black and Mr Mpofu from Gweru have been helping a great deal in arranging treatment, food rations and repairs to the property. Michael is not alone in his suffering. He lives with my sister, Mariam Stoddart, who is terminally ill with HIV and in need of constant medical treatment. Also in the home is my young nephew, who is autistic and desperately needs access to a special school and professional care that the family cannot afford. The family’s situation is heartbreaking and overwhelming. They are trapped in poverty, illness, and despair—but with your help, we can give them a chance at life with dignity and hope. Your donations will go towards: Hiring a nurse 4 days a week for Michael Medical treatment, diapers, and medication for infections & bed sores A wheelchair and proper bedding Food and daily living essentials Rebuilding the house, building a toilet, sinking a well for water, building a kitchen and bathroom Medical treatment for Mariam Special education and care for my autistic nephew as he has never attended any form of schooling Even the smallest contribution will make a huge difference. If you are unable to donate, please share this campaign with others who may be able to help. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for reading our story and for any support you can give to help Michael, Mariam, and my nephew. Together, we can give them hope, dignity, and a better life. Benificiary will be my cousin Kerry Jo Granger in the UK as I am based in South Africa. regards Jody Stoddart
