<div>Hi, my name is Jessica and I am fundraising on behalf of my good friend Elin. Her dog Jack recently tore his CCL (human equivalent of an ACL). After many vet visits/tests and plenty of hours of research, the best course of action is to try an heal Jack naturally with a specialized knee brace (handmade to fit his knee specifically) physical therapy, and a change in his diet with added medicine/vitamins. Unfortunately if this doesn’t help, Jack will have to have surgery to fix his knee. Due to Jack’s age (9 years) and previous health issue (hyperthyroidism) surgery is a risky option but for those of you that know how much Jack means to Elin and her family, they will do whatever is necessary to get Jack back to the adventurous dog he was before. <div>Chai, at only 9 month old has been fighting an ongoing battle to save his life. A month ago, we noticed him limping and took him to get checked.
</div>

<div>After conducting numerous tests, they noticed his bloodwork was coming back abnormal. While his little body was trying to fight through it, doctors couldn’t figure out the exact source. After a week of hospitalization and antibiotics, he was discharged to go home. Shortly after, his body became weak and we noticed his health deplete once again. His blood count had dropped to an alarming level. The vet suggested starting aggressive steroid therapy in hopes that his blood levels would stabilize. Successfully, they did but it was short lived. After a second opinion, they discovered an abscess on his back which had formed into a big lump. After an emergency surgery to remove the lump, we felt we can finally be at ease having to discover the root cause. We brought chai home and two days after, the surgical wound had become infected, leaving us to see a specialist. While caring for the wound, the specialist conducted more tests due to his unsuccessful physical exam. After receiving another hopeless answer to what could be the reason behind his sickness, we are back to square one with ongoing tests and no results. Chai has been fighting through for a month now, unable to walk, eat or play as he’s in grave pain.
