We are utterly heartbroken by the sudden and unexpected loss of our beloved Carlos—a devoted husband, loving father, cherished son, brother, and dear friend. My Brother-in-law, Carlos, was a man whose heart overflowed with love, faith, and generosity. He carried himself with quiet strength and humility, always working hard to provide for his family and to be a source of encouragement to those around him. His laughter could fill a room, his kindness left lasting marks on every life he touched, and his presence brought an unmistakable warmth to any gathering. Carlos was not only a provider but a protector—a man devoted to his wife, Steffanie, and children, Isabella (15) and Davi (10). His faith in God guided his steps and shaped his resilience. Though he faced many seasons of hardship and personal struggle, he never gave up. He chose to fight for a better life, walking with renewed hope and strength. His story reminds us that even in our brokenness, grace has the power to restore—and that redemption is always possible through the love of God. To know Carlos was to know someone genuine, compassionate, and true. He had a heart that saw the good in people and extended grace freely. His absence now leaves an ache that words can barely express—a silence where his laughter used to be, a void felt deeply in the hearts of those who loved him most. Carlos leaves behind his devoted wife (my sister) and two precious children who are now facing the unimaginable. As they grieve and adjust to life without their husband and father, the weight of heartache is joined by the burden of daily responsibilities—caring for the children, maintaining their home, and navigating an uncertain future. The financial challenges ahead are significant, but even more so, the emotional road before them is steep. As a family anchored in faith, they are clinging to the promise that God is near to the brokenhearted and will not abandon those who weep. We hold tightly to this truth and trust that the same God who welcomed Carlos home will continue to wrap his loving arms around his family here on earth.
