Guys 8/30/26 will go down as the saddest day in my life and in our family’s life. The Lord called Izzy home today at 12:34pm. She was with all of those that loved her in her bed. This is a very emotional time for us as a family as you can expect. When we figure out a service we will post it here as well as we hope ALL of you will join us. We love you all and we know you all love Izzy as well.

Hey guys. For those of you that I am not friends with on Instagram(I posted an update video). We got the terrible and tragic news yesterday that there is nothing left for our oncology team to do for Izzy. The lesions in her brain and spine that she took 3 weeks of radiation for, are not only still there, but have metastasized. Izzy is on medicine that keeps her pretty tired, but the disease is doing that as well. So we do not have any definitive timeline for Izzy. Weeks, months, less than a year basically. This is a tough update to write as this is our daughter and NO ONE should have to post something like this. But we have put Izzy’s life in the lords hands. Like a good friend has told me, he brought her into this world, and I am just her father on earth but the lord is our ultimate father. I am so grateful to have been allowed to be her dad! My kids have been my world and will continue to be my world. I plan on continuing Izzy’s legacy from this time until the end of mine and hopefully beyond. And whatever we are donated from here on out we will be working toward something like that. Between her doctors and her they have had a special relationship that transcends anything I have ever known or may ever know. Dr Mitchell l, at Childrens Healthcare of Atlanta is the most kind, loving, respectful doctor I have ever know. Hers and Izzy’s relationship is so special that Izzy got a tattoo specifically for her. I will add it to this update. It means so much to Izzy to have someone like her in her life and doing things to help her. Dr Wilson at Emory is another special individual that joined our dream team fairly recently but his way of advocating for Izzy and providing options for treatment was amazing. Unfortunately we were not able to take advantage of most of them as her cancer spread too quickly. There are a TON more of special members of Izzy’s dream team and one day each will get a specific call out from us. These updates are very hard for me. I’m sure you all can imagine that. But you all mean so much to us all that we want to make sure you are all aware of the situation.
