- Hello everyone, I am reaching out during one of the most challenging times in my life. I want to start by saying thank you for all the prayers during this difficult time. I have been thrown punch after punch the last few years. As I am still going through this epilepsy journey and battle I was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. I went for a mammogram 8/6/25 that I put off for a while as I had so much already going on. The moment I got that result I could not believe it I just cried. I went and got a biopsy and ultrasound done 9/8/25. This doctor knew at that moment it was cancer but we did everything to make sure. I was diagnosed with breast cancer on 9/10/25 through a biopsy. I have been doing non-stop testing and labs, and thank God the medical doctors have been amazing. After meeting with the surgical team, we have decided to remove the mass and start radiation 3 weeks later. I meet with radiation oncology and medical oncology at the end of October to see how long I will need treatment, I had surgery 10/9/25 and I am home recovering the surgery got more intense when he had to remove 3 lymph nodes as he did not like the way they looked even though the biopsy came back negative about 3 1/2 weeks ago. This is how cancer goes you never know whats next things can change. I am doing the best I can to stay positive. My husband has been amazing through the whole process. We don't know what's going to happen at this time we can just stay strong and hope for the best. I have been in a lot of pain and very uncomfortable. He has done everything to make me as comfortable as possible. its not easy but we are trying. I know he is worried and so am I so praying together is important. I work in a personal care home and will need to be out of work right now. This is when you have to take it a day at a time. This Journey has been overwhelming, both emotionally and financially and I am humbling asking for your help. As I begin my treatments and recovery from surgery, My husband will be working but needs to take me to appointments and treatments. We do not get sick time and will not be paid for any time off while I recover. As we are already feeling the strain with medical bills coming in and daily living expenses to cover that are already behind due to hours being cut back for weeks of tests and not feeling well myself. I find myself in need of assistance. The fight I have battled with epilepsy also has been financially draining now to add cancer to this as well .We can't afford to both be out of work, as one person out of work already puts us behind. All donations will help cover medical costs treatments as well as help with essential living expenses while I am unable to earn an income. Thinking more and speaking with my doctors and nurse navigators,as well as family I realized this is time I will need the help so I can recover properly . I can not rush this I have to take it a day at time. We are grateful for whatever anyone can help with. It doesn't matter the amount every little bit helps. I am grateful for any help. I have to say this is very scary and the unknown is horrible. I just need time to build my strength and rest to a successful recovery. I will fight this no matter what. it's a day at time. I ask to continue praying also the power of prayer is important. Thank you for taking out the time to read my journey and I will keep you all posted. Linda Morales-Oneal
