<div>We met our initial goal. Now we need to keep going.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thanks to everyone who donated, our initial needs for traps, carriers and supplies were met.
</div>
<div>But the calls haven't stopped. We’re now well over 60 cats helped this year, and right now we're getting hit hard with kittens.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>With winter coming, we need additional funding for spay/neuter, vet care, food and supplies so we can keep saying YES when the next call comes.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Every donation helps. Every share helps.
</div>
<div>Thanks for helping us keep going. ❤️

<div>***This is the only approved GoFundMe for the Wood family***
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We are putting this GoFundMe together for the Wood family.
</div>
<div>To introduce ourselves:
</div>
<div>-Nasja Aude, Margot's cousin and Julian's aunt.
</div>
<div>-Dawn Silavent, Margot's dear friend.
</div>
<div>-Stephanie Massari, Margot's dear friend.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We are sick to our stomachs writing this…
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Many of you have been following this horrendous story online and have been asking what happened and how something like this could happen in our own neighborhood.. honestly we have no explanation as to how or why this happened... it was a random act of violence. There was no prior altercation, they did not know each other… this was a malicious random act. She has devastated our family beyond words…she took something from us we can never get back.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>On June 3rd, 2024 - Margot (38) and Julian (3) were walking out of the North Olmsted Giant Eagle and they were followed to their car by a random woman. Prior to making her way to Giant Eagle the woman obtained a knife from the Volunteers of America in the same plaza. She then noticed Margot and Julian… While Margot was opening the trunk of her car to put groceries away the woman viciously attacked and stabbed both Margot and Julian. Medical and Emergency services were on site immediately... Margot and Julian were rushed to St. John hospital, but Julian's injuries were far too extensive and he did not make it.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Our family is overwhelmed with sadness… and overwhelmed with the loving support the community has already provided us. This will be an incredibly long journey to recovery, but truthfully we will never recover - but we will continue to share stories about our beautiful baby boy, his laugh, his cheesy smile, his rambunctious attitude, his love of dinosaurs, his love of school, his obsession with his new baby sister and wrestling his big brother every chance he gets... and all the other beautiful things about that sweet little boy.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Hundreds of people - friends, family, strangers have been reaching out, sending us love and kind words, and asking how they can help the Wood family at this time…if you feel inclined we are asking for donations to help with the cost of funeral arrangements and to cover any time off work…
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This is something no person, no family, no mother, no father, no grandmother should ever experience. We urge you all to hold your babies close. This should have never happened.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Please continue your prayers for our family, for Margot, baby Julian, Jared, his grandmother, his brother, and his sister, and pray our family receives some sort of justice.

North Olmsted Tragic Loss of 3 Year Old Julian Wood Fund

<div>Euclid Police Officer Jacob Derbin was tragically killed in the line of duty on May 11th, 2024. Officer Derbin was responding to a disturbance call when he was ambushed the night before Mother's Day. Officer Derbin was only 23 years old and was on the force for less than 1 year. Officer Derbin served in the Army National Guard and did a tour in the Middle East. Jacob and his fiance were happily planning to be married this upcoming July. His father is currently an active policeman in the Euclid Police Department. Jacob was a courageous, skillful, and dedicated public servant. Jacob was doing all the right things in life. His family needs our support. Please donate to Officer Jacob Derbin's Memorial Fund. All funds raised will go to the Derbin Family and his fiance.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I grew up on East 210th Street in Euclid. One street over from this tragedy. My fellow former Euclidians and I could not sit by and watch without taking action. To help the Derbin Family and Jacob's fiance, I started this GoFundMe. I thought a GoFundMe was the best way at the time, to help, and in a manner that I could help.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Rest assured. GoFundMe controls the funds in this fundraiser. Only a designated beneficiary from the Derbin family can receive the funds. GoFundMe has provided a Customer Support representative to help us during the fundraiser.

</div>
<div><strong>Help bring ubuntu-based principles directly to classrooms to teach students how to listen deeply, respect others, and find common ground in our interactions in order to build a more connected world.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Archbishop Desmond Tutu said, “I Am Because We Are." This essence of being human together is called <a href="https://ubuntuworks.org/about-ubuntuworks/what-is-ubuntu/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"><em>ubuntu</em></a>. By integrating ubuntu-based principles where we live, work, learn, and engage with others, we can build a more connected and peaceful world.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>In 2023, the Ubuntuworks Peace Education Project, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded by civil rights attorney, Eric Sirotkin, made initial steps to create an infrastructure to bring relational practices to our lives. To date, we have accomplished the following:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>o	Built an information-rich, scalable website,
</div>
<div>o	Opened the Ubuntuworks School with accredited legal classes,
</div>
<div>o	Developed a resource hub of ubuntu articles and information,
</div>
<div>o	Gathered an international development board, and,
</div>
<div>o	Created free online courses on ubuntu-based principles.

<div>We are now ready to take the next step by bringing ubuntu-based practices to more classrooms.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>With your participation, we will create free education materials by developing new courses on ubuntu practices, by creating a unique hub of resources for ubuntu-based research, as well as continuing to bring ubuntu-based teaching to classrooms.

Ubuntuworks Education Fundraiser

Greetings, My name is Ashanti Smith; I am a 28-year-old African American woman who lives in the Washington DC metropolitan  area. I recently was assaulted, attacked and harassed by a group of Trump supporters on Black Lives Matter Plaza in Washington DC on January 5th, 2021. A video has surfaced where I was surrounded by a group of Trump extremists, and I honestly feared for my life. The video makes me look like I am the aggressor, but it does not show what happened prior to my defending myself. People shoved me, tried to take my phone and keys, yelled racial epithets at me, and tried to remove my mask. I asked them to social distance and stay out of my personal space due to COVID 19. They refused, and I was afraid of being hurt and harmed. After being assaulted, I defended myself. I am now facing criminal charges along with being relieved from my employment pending an investigation. Which places me in a hardship situation at the moment. I am asking for support and help with funds for my legal fees and to maintain the essential things that I need to survive during this time. Any amount of help is truly appreciated. <br /><br />Thank you in advance.<br /><br /><br />Social Media &amp; Donation Handles Are:<br /><br />Instagram: @_Ashanti_S <br />Twitter: @Ashanti_S<br />Facebook: Ashanti Smith<br />CashApp: $flawlessssss<br /><br />P.O. It is with a heavy heart that we tell you that we have lost two goats and a sheep to a senseless attack that occurred at Stearns Homestead on Halloween night. Puncture wounds and/or lacerations were were found on all the sheep and goats in the large shed. <br />We are sad, frightened and concerned that this has occurred on the Homestead.<br />We want our animals and volunteers to feel safe. Our community has generously begun to  offer their resources and donations to cover the veterinary services, the internet with a security system and to cover the ongoing cost of its services. Thank you. Words cannot express how grateful we are for your support.

<p>Marti is a mother of 2 who is fighting hard against a diagnosis of metastatic stage 4 Melanoma.  The goal of this page is to support Marti and her 2 daughters by providing money to allow for precious memories to be made during this difficult time.  Any mother could resonate with her story and the fear of leaving her girls too soon.
</p>

<p>This is her story:<br /><br />I was diagnosed unexpectedly from a mole I requested to be removed and it snowballed quickly.  In September I had major surgery October 2nd and it took 8 weeks of recovery and most of it unpaid. And now I signed up for a trial drug my plastic surgeon was certain would work on me and it backfired leaving me hospitalized for 14 days getting traumatic news by myself that it spread to my stomach, left lung, right kidney, and the thoracic vertebrae in my back and my sacrum. I live daily in a haze of drug induced nausea/vomiting, exhaustion and pain. All while trying to work and raise my precious girls Arianna will be 7 next week and Penny is 3.
</p>

<p><br />Please, if you can help in any way!  Marti has never asked for any help but is more than worthy of many blessings.  Your generosity is greatly appreciated.

<br />On March 6, 2020 Monica Morrow passed away unexpectedly,  leaving behind her parents, husband of 6 years, two children, step-children, and a one year old grandson.   <br /><br />Monica was a devoted wife,  a loving mother, a doting grandmother,  a caring daughter plus a dear friend to many.  Her sense of humor and kind heart made her loved by many.    <br /><br />Monica worked for Continental Airlines / United Airlines for 17 years before retiring.  She had a passion for traveling and preferred beach destinations.  Monica loved dogs, including her favorite cartoon Snoopy,  she always had to stop and pet any dog that she passed.  <br /><br />Monica and Jimmy were a month away from having health insurance and life insurance before she passed.  Jimmy had  been hired with United in January and they were very excited for the chance at having a great heath care benefit.  They had been without coverage after he lost his previous job back in September.  <br /><br />The sudden loss of Monica has reminded us how short life is.  We should cherish each and every moment.  The family is extremely grateful for your support and generosity.  All the proceeds will go to help the family with the memorial service and medical expenses.

<img src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/34010436_15406907866513_r.jpeg" alt="34010436_15406907866513_r.jpeg" width="100%" media_type="3" />I was hit by a truck the morning of 10/25 on High Ridge Road. Several people stopped and helped me out of the road. Most cars just kept speeding by me and the ladies helping me were concerned they would be hit by one of these vehicles. Then Detective Steve from the Boynton Beach Police Department pulled over and turned his lights on to help bring attention to us and slow people down. He did not leave until I was on my way to the hospital ❤️ He even called to check on me and wanted to know how else he could help. <br /><br />It took the help of many to get Bo safely loaded and transported to the ER vet in WPB. Before we left 2 girls showed up looking for their beloved family dog when their mom told them she could not find Bo and the gate was found to be open. The poor girls were shocked and overwhelmed so I stayed with them at the vet. It was quite clear that Bo’s injuries were significant and I knew the bill would be to. A promise to cover the initial  cost that day to treat Bo was made by a woman named Karen and the vet said they knew of the woman and believed she would send the money but they could not treat Bo without a $1400 deposit which I paid. Then yesterday they required another $1200 which I paid. He requires daily wound care, antibiotics, bandage and cast changes for another week and the family brings him there each day which is another $162 a day. By the end of this week the cost of care for Bo will be at least $3500. I have covered these costs to guarantee Bo gets treatment and a chance to get better and I am still hopeful of the donation from the woman who said she was sending a check.  I can’t possibly cover doing the very difficult surgery on the multiple breaks in his leg and paw. The estimate for the surgery he needs is $5000 plus and that does not even cover his aftercare. I brought his records and X-rays to my own vet and another vet that was recommended and both were very honest and said Dr.Roy at Palm Beach Vet Specislists would be the best choice for this VERY DIFFICULT and SPECIALIZED SURGERY. They said the aftercare would also be extensive. They warned me not to consider this type of surgery with just any vet/surgeon. This is not a typical fracture based on the multiple locations and impacting both sides. Many people seemed hesitant to pay the vet directly and wanted me to start a go fund me page. I am so grateful to the two friends that did make payments to the vet. Tabitha and Lynn you guys rock and to the others who said they want to help thank you so much. As the harsh reality of Bo’s surgical needs really hit me today I knew this may be our best chance to get him fixed and back to his family permanently. The girls and the entire family have been so grateful for my help and I desperately want to get Bo better from his terrible accident. He needs your help. <br /><br />I am happy to send the paid invoices, care plan and surgery estimate to anyone who wants it. Whatever it takes to get Bo better and his suffering behind him.

<br />Cathy has been battling Cancer for 5 years, with unwavering bravery and dignity.  This last battle has made it necessary for Cathy to have in home nursing assistance.  It is Cathy’s wish to stay in her home instead of an inpatient nursing facility.   This requires hands on assistance daily.  Medical insurance does not cover ongoing nursing assistance or supplies.  We are trying to raise funds to cover these costs.   When we cannot do it alone, it is good to know we can reach out for help with the stress and struggle we are facing.  Please help keep Cathy at home.  Any assistance will be appreciated and may God bless.

<p>I've spent a large part of my life and my health joyfully making sure my horses are healthy and well cared for.  It became unreasonable, given the health part of that, to continue to try to keep them all, so I planned to find them each good homes with the proceeds from the sale of my home and small agreage, once it was listed and sold.  However, my husband filed for divorce and no longer wants the expense and physical burden of the horses, I am 1200 miles away, and my property hasn't sold.<br /><br />I found a good home for the horses, but we are stuck, for the moment, because of the requirements for transporting them across state lines.  They need to be vetted and have their coggins tests done in order to get their travel papers, and in the meantime they need to eat.  My husband is not willing to cover the expense of hay, and has sought and won the right to euthanize them by askig for a rushed court order.  I am desperate to give them the chance to have the life they deserve, and that means they will need enough hay to keep them fed until the vet work is completed and they are picked up by their new people.  The results of the coggins test will take 10 days, and we still have to schedule and coordinate the farm call.   So, we'll likely need 2-3 weeks' worth of hay - in a drought leveraged area.</p>
<p>Please help make this happen.  I would not ask if I could find any other way.</p>

Getting my horses to a good home

<p dir="ltr">From the day Bradley was found in a parking lot of an apartment complex in Fort Knox Kentucky he's had humans fawning over his adorable appearance and friendly personality.<br>
Bradley is 14 years old but acts more like an 18 month old. He still loves to run around (his first nickname was Lazer because he'd dart around a room), play fetch and play with his 4 year old sister Bella.<br>
Bradley is kind, loving and would give you the shirt off his back if he wore one. <br>
A little while back while rubbing his face, his mom noticed a lump along his jawline.&#160; After some initial testing that showed the possibility of cancer cells he had the lump removed from his jaw.<br>
At first we were optomistic about the outcome because the tumor looked more like a lipoma then a fibrosarcoma. However we were not lucky in that the tumor came back as cancerous. <br>
The surgery and testing of the tumor cost upwards of $1k. <br>
We decided chemo was the best option for our animal. Additional surgery was an option but we didn't want to put him through another surgery and we also did not want to remove half of his jaw if that was what was needed to get out all of the cancer. Radiation was also an option but that entailed leaving Bradley at a facility for at least a month where he'd only have human contact one time a day for his radiation treatment. <br>
Bradley is not a loner cat. He wants to be right by your side at all times and we knew if we opted to do radiation therapy he would be miserable and lonely.&#160; <br>
Because we caught the tumor early chemo was possible but it's rare to use chemo in cats. Usually by the time the tumor is found it's too late for chemo to be a viable option. <br>
Because it's not a common treatment it's quite expensive. We actually have to use a chemo they usually use in dogs but have it specially made for Bradley's size. We also recently had to add a nausea medication and will soon be adding a pain medicine. Bradley is not in any pain but the pain medication helps the chemo work better.<br>
The cost of the three medications $200+ per month and because they use such a low dose of chemo for animals he will be on the medication for 2 years. <br>
To make sure his body is tolerating the medication properly he has to go in for weekly testing for the first month at a cost of $112 per test. Then after the first month the testing goes down to twice a month for the second month and then every few weeks.
</p>

<p dir="ltr">We are the type of people who always give. We give to others even when we don't have anything to give ourselves......but we need your help.
</p>

<p dir="ltr">Donations will be used for the medication and vet bills. Should Bradley pass any leftover funds will be used on his cremation and urn. If there is any money left after the funeral expenses we will donate what is left to the ASPCA.
</p>

<p dir="ltr">We don't have human children but we do have furry children with tails. Our animals are our kids and we can't imagine our world without our sweet Sir Bradley and sweet Bella. We would be forever grateful for any help you can lend. Every donation whether small or large is greatly appreciated.
