<div><strong>My mother had a severe series of falls in her home after being sick with what she thought was the flu over this last weekend.</strong> It turns out that it was likely due to an undetected UTI that had spread to one of her kidneys. We don't know 100% of the story of what exactly happened because my mother lives alone with her dog and she isn't coherent enough to tell us what happened. We do know that she fell getting out of bed initially to get to the bathroom because she was feeling sick and likely broke her foot then and hit her head.

<div>In an attempt to get up to find her phone or help, she continued to fall several times throughout her apartment, likely because she was already disoriented from the initial fall and the infection. This left her with a severe concussion and hematoma, broken bones in her nose and face, and bruising from head to toe. Her foot is also broken in 5 places and she dislocated her ankle.

<div>She was sedated for some time in the hospital due to the severity of the concussion, her agitation and confusion, and lack of response to social cues. She is improving slowly over the days and is now responsive and can recognize me, her daughter. She is extremely drowsy and communication is limited. She has mostly been sleeping and is in extreme pain.

<div>Her road to recovery is going to take some time due to the stress on her entire body. She will need surgery on her foot to repair the damage as well.

<div>My mom drives for Uber and Lyft for work to maintain her monthly bills. Obviously, she won't be in working condition for some time and this will put a financial strain on her ability to maintain her living situation and other monthly bills. Her family will help where we can, of course, but this just was a crazy accident that no one could even fathom or be prepared for.

<div>On March 30, 2024 after bedding down for another cold night sleeping outdoors. At approximately 1:40 am,, just 30 minutes after sending what would be his last text to his father, a 2015 Land Rover left the road and crashed into his campsite killing Ervin F. Price III, age 49 from Fresno, CA. <div>Ervin is survived by his daughters Isabelle and Amanda, his brother Michael, his Mother and Father Connie and Ervin Price II and his Wife Christy Price.

<div>Swervin Erv, as his friends lovingly refer to him, is a husband, father, son, uncle, brother and friend to all that knew him. He was generous and caring to everyone. He would give the clothes off of his back if it would help somebody out. He always did his best to take care of everyone, check in on people to make sure they’re doing well, and always had their back regardless of who they were.

<div>Ervin was always making jokes and worked hard to put a smile on people’s faces everyday. Despite what he may have been going through, that never stopped him from making someone else’s day.
</div>

<div>He was the loudest in the room, but lit it up long before he even said a word. He was random, had the silliest dance moves, the biggest smile, and the loudest laugh. You felt his presence no matter what.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>He gave the greatest hugs, the best advice, and the biggest shoulder to lean on. I could go on and on about all of the wonderful things he was.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>He will be missed by everyone who had the pleasure of loving him and knowing him.
</div>

<div>Now we ask that anyone who feels inclined, in the spirit of Ervin’s generosity and love for his community, pay that forward to help his family. Due to his circumstances and the sudden nature of his death the family is not prepared to take on the effects this tragedy has caused.
</div>

<div>Ervin will be cremated, his ashes divided amongst his loved ones. We would love to gather all of his friends and family to send this wonderful man off in a manner befitting of this human that we all loved.
</div>
