One and a half years ago, my life changed in an instant when I became paralyzed overnight. The shock and devastation of losing the ability to walk was overwhelming, and with it, so many dreams I had for my future slipped away. I lost the chance to have the wedding I had always imagined—walking down the aisle, dancing, and celebrating with loved ones. That loss was more than physical; it was the loss of a vision for my life and the hope that came with it.
Six months ago, I was diagnosed with CIDP, a rare and challenging condition that has made recovery seem nearly impossible at this point. Not long after my diagnosis, I had to flee dangerous situations by moving across the country, leaving behind everything familiar in search of safety and a fresh start. Every day since has been a fight to rebuild, to find stability, and to hold onto hope.
Now, I am no longer homeless, but the threat of losing my home is still very real. I need help to cover the basics that keep me going: accessibility tools to regain some independence, rent to keep a roof over my head, food and water, hygiene products, and the medical copays and supplies that are essential for my treatment. These are things I can’t go without, and I’m reaching out because I have nowhere else to turn.
There is no one left in my life to ask for help. Anyone who chooses to support me is truly an angel in my eyes, and I hope you know how much your kindness means to me. Thank you for reading my story and for considering a donation—your support could change everything for me.
