Kayleigh Scopes

My name is Kayleigh Scopes and as most of you know my AMAZING father lost his life to MND 4 years ago. He started to feel weakness is his arm and it very quickly progressed from there. He went to hospital and had some tests done. They couldn't quite put their finger on it but they soon realised it was happening fast and it was aggressive!! He lost his upper body strength and then was bed bound loosing his lower body strength and his movement too. Driving back and forth to Canterbury to give him the emotional support and care that he needed along with other family and friends, he passed away comfortably in his home surrounded with love. But for anybody who knew my dad he was physically strong, so caring, loving, kind and stupidly funny!!! He lived life to the full with his wonderful brothers fixing things, dirt biking, fishing, mechanics and generally just being an absolute BURT!!! So, I am doing a tandem skydive....eeeeeekkk!!!!! This is in aid of The MND society for help with medical research towards finding a cure in the future but also to help those who have been diagnosed with this terrible disease. Research has come so far in the past year but none of this was available when my dad became ill. Fund raising is at the root of medical research and is also pushing forward for those suffering with MND. Thankyou from the bottom of our hearts for any donations.
