Hi, my name is Theresa and I’m a self-employed delivery driver a job that I rely on every day to support my family. Recently, the transmission in my work vehicle went out, and it’s completely stopped me from being able to work. Without my vehicle, I have *no way to earn income. That means no ability to pay bills, support my household, or take care of my two boys — one in college and one in high school. I work long hours and have always tried to provide for my family without asking for help — this is not easy for me. But right now, I’m truly in a position where I need support. The total cost to repair the vehicle is $5,000, which I simply don’t have right now. The last year and a half has been especially tough because my husband has ongoing medical issues, and I’ve been the one covering all of our bills and expenses on my own. Every dollar brings me closer to getting back to work and stability. If I can’t fix the vehicle soon, I may not be able to keep up with bills or even stay in our home. I’m humbly asking for help to raise the funds needed to repair my work vehicle so I can get back to earning a living and continue taking care of my family.
