My cat is my world, and when he suddenly became lethargic and wouldn't let me touch his belly or leg, I knew something was wrong. He would cry and scream out in pain. I rushed him to urgent care, but we left without answers. Over the next few weeks, we went back and forth to the vet , including more urgent care visits, desperately searching for what was causing his pain. It was super stressful and emotional not knowing how to help him or what was wrong.
After several visits, we finally got a diagnosis: my cat has hip dysplasia and a soft tissue injury to his leg. While it was a relief to finally know what was wrong, the treatment and care he needs are ongoing. He now has to take medication for the pain, and to lose weight to take some pressure off of his leg. The vet bills from all the vet and urgent care visits have added up way too fast. While his pet insurance feels like a scam by not giving a dime back.
I am incredibly blessed to have a special person in my life who stepped in and paid all the bills so my cat could get the care he needed. I am so thankful for their kindness, support, help, care, honesty and respect. Now I need to pay this person back as soon as possible. Unfortunately, my pet insurance isn't covering any of the costs of anything to do with urgent care, and vet visit or any medication my Bebe needs. That's why it seems like a scam. Being on SSDI makes this even more stressful. My cat is only 5 years old and means everything to me—without him, I'd be lost. And I'd loose my mind. He needs continued care with his vet, and daily pain medication. He looks so sad to me. He can no longer play or jump up on his cat tree to lay in the sun. He just lays there all day. And I'm beyond sad about it. It kills me to see him so sad and depressed and medicated. Any type of help would be a blessing to not only the person I'll be giving the money to. But also my cat, Bebe and myself. Anything helps. Thank you for taking the time to read this and sharing/donating. You are a blessing. ✨️
