Hey, I’m Alex. I’m not here because I’m in crisis. I’m here because I’m petty. Some guy got fired after proudly calling himself a fascist and spewing racist trash online—and he raised over $37,000 on GoFundMe. Thirty-seven. Thousand. Dollars. For being a jackass. So I thought: “If that guy can raise that kind of money for hate, I should be able to raise more just for being decent.” For the record, I’m a proud Guatemalan-American and a United States Marine veteran. I believe in working hard, standing up for what’s right, and helping my people—not tearing others down. This isn’t a sob story. It’s a social experiment. A charitable flex. A middle finger to fascism—with love. Here’s what I’ll actually do with the money: • Help my family and friends get out of debt • Donate to mutual aid and causes that actually help people • Take my girlfriend’s dog on vacation (because she’s perfect, thanks) • And prove that decency still has a fighting chance in this country So yeah—I’ll take any spare dollar you’ve got. Not because I’m struggling to survive. But because I want to prove something bigger: That there are more good people than hateful ones. That compassion > cruelty. That we can outgive a fascist. Let’s show them. Let’s make kindness go viral. And above all, fuck fascism. —Alex Proud Guatemalan-American U.S. Marine Vet
