<div>Most of you know and love Dom and Jess and Rosa and Orson and are aware of their ongoing challenging situation. However, for those of you who might be reading about this for the first time, this is their story so far.
</div>
<div>Dom is our brother and he has a lovely little family - his wife Jess and two gorgeous children, Rosa (11) and Orson (9). At the end of 2020, Rosa was diagnosed with a Grade 4 Glioblastoma Multiforme, a very malignant brain cancer. After successful surgery, further testing revealed that this brain tumour was the result of a very rare genetic condition called Constitutional Mismatch Repair Deficiency, or CMMRD, and that her younger brother, Orson, also had CMMRD.

<div>CMMRD is a difficult and frightening childhood condition that causes multiple cancers in children and in 2022, Orson was also diagnosed with a Grade 4 Glioblastoma Multiforme which was successfully removed. However, this year, Orson was unfortunately diagnosed with a second brain tumour, that, although initially surgically removed, has regrown and is now inoperable. Recently, Orson has been in hospital for nearly seven weeks as he has needed ongoing hospital care to treat a variety of complications resulting from treatment for this second brain tumour. This has meant that both Dom and Jess have been unable to work and will not be able to return to work for the foreseeable future. This has put a huge financial strain on them as a family and now, they will also need to renovate their shower to make it palliative care friendly for Orson when he is finally able to return home. This is why we are reaching out at this time for help for this amazingly resilient family. So many people have offered them so much support in so many ways, which has been wonderful, and we would so appreciate it if people could again donate what and if they can and/or to share this GoFundMe to hopefully help them in this practical way through this period of time when they cannot work and so they can renovate their shower.

On the 11th of July the world tragically lost a beautiful women who dedicated herself to everyone she knew and the community around her. <br />This gofundme is to give back to Dearne and her children as she has done for many people throughout her life and in the 20+ years of her career as an Intensive Care Paramedic.<br /><br />As a community let’s band together to help Dearne’s kids Maddy, Dylan, Tristan and Ella get back on track the best they can at this devastating time.<br /><br /><br />Update 14/07:<br /><br />A big Thank you to those who have so generously donated so far, your effort is greatly appreciated. We will keep the account open for a while to raise as much as we can for Dearne’s children.
