About the Foundation The On Angel’s Wings Scholarship Foundation was created in loving memory of our grandparents and siblings whose lives, values, and sacrifices shaped who we are today. Rooted in faith, family, and resilience, our foundation exists to support high school students as they build their own paths to success—whether through college, trades, entrepreneurship, or other career pathways. Through two dedicated scholarships, we honor the men whose shoulders we stand on and extend their legacy to the next generation. The Legacy Scholarship The Legacy Scholarship honors four remarkable men: • Fred & Mildred Loring • James Spriggs • William Pierce • Larry & Deborah Loring Our grandparents embodied hard work, entrepreneurship, strong leadership, a belief in education, and an unshakable commitment to family. They built a foundation of integrity, perseverance, and opportunity that continues to guide us. This scholarship is awarded to high school students who: • Demonstrate a strong work ethic and leadership • Value education and lifelong learning • Show commitment to family and community • Plan to pursue a traditional postsecondary pathway, such as a two- or four-year college or university Through this award, we seek to invest in students who are ready to carry forward the legacy our grandparents in built. The Brothers’ Keeper Scholarship The Brothers’ Keeper Scholarship honors the lives and spirits of our beloved brothers: • Channon Thomas • Michael Spriggs • Timothy Loring Though their lives were cut short too soon, our brothers showed us that success does not always follow a traditional route. They modeled resilience, creativity, courage, and a nontraditional path to manhood and achievement. This scholarship is awarded to high school students who: • Intend to pursue a nontraditional or career-focused pathway after high school • Examples include trade schools, apprenticeships, workforce certifications, military service, entrepreneurship, creative or technical careers, and other alternative routes • Demonstrate determination, initiative, and a desire to build a meaningful life on their own terms • Reflect the spirit of perseverance and originality that our brothers embodied The Brothers’ Keeper Scholarship exists for students who are ready to create their own definition of success. ⸻ Our Mission The mission of the On Angel’s Wings Scholarship Foundation is to: • Honor the memory and legacy of our beloved fathers, grandfathers, and brothers. • Remove financial barriers for high school students pursuing education, training, or career advancement • Celebrate both traditional and nontraditional pathways to success • Inspire students to lead with integrity, courage, and love for family and community ⸻ In Their Honor, For Their Future Every scholarship awarded is a reflection of the love and legacy of our grandfathers and brothers.
