<div>We are creating a gofundme for the Cali Family of Brielle, New Jersey, who have suffered an unimaginable tragedy. Jim and Pam Cali, along with their daughters, Lauren and Jennifer, need our support. On Friday, January 26th, there was an accident involving their son and brother, James.

<div>Hi! Paddy (Fox) Madaleno (sister to Christine), Scott Frauenheim (brother-in law to Christine) and John Redmond (friend of Christine) here. We started this fundraiser for Christine and Michael Frauenheim and Family. Christine was on a 9-year Ocular Melanoma Cancer journey, and through it all, Christine was the ultimate warrior. She continued to be a warrior in every way imaginable. Christine was recently diagnosed with leptomeningeal disease, noting that her melanoma has spread to her brain, spinal fluid and spine.

<div><strong>Christine passed away peacefully on November 30, 2022. Any funds raised have continued to cover family and medical costs before and after Christine's passing. <div>Christine recently had a shunt put in her brain to help redirect spinal fluid to her stomach and has been working to stay strong. Christine received a 2nd opinion two weeks ago from Memorial Sloan Kettering, and there is an option for Christine to try Proton Beam Therapy. Christine will begin to receive this treatment on August 1st.

<div>As Christine's journey continues, Michael has been apprehensive about any idea of starting a fundraiser like this. He knows how many people have been there for them over the past nine years, financially and emotionally. Paddy and I, with the support of John Redmond, reminded Michael and his family that friends and family want to help. There are several factors now that Michael is navigating through. Christine needed to stop working in early June with her recent symptoms. In addition, Christine's treatment in the next few weeks is only 50-60% covered by insurance. Michael is still working now but also planning for contingencies as needed, and other major related expenses are coming up for health, travel, medical, and other life-related expenses. He does not know we are doing this but we know people want to help and have been asking.

<div>John Redmond offered to launch this GoFundMe account with Paddy and me, as added support for managing and disbursing funds that will come in. We have agreed that any funds that come in will be disbursed directly to providers, insurance or vendors to help Michael, Christine and family with health, medical, travel and other related expenses.

<p>Laura Zylinski was involved in a tragic motor vehicle accident on November 8th, 2020 and suffered severe injuries that will require several operations, extended hospital stays, and many months of rehabilitation.  <br /><br />As a result, Laura will be unable to return to work and as a single mom must continue to provide for her two young children (Logan &amp; Sailor).  She has worked so hard to create a wonderful life for her kids and given freely of her time and energy to anyone who she could help.  Now she needs help from those who know and love her.<br /><br />Many have already reached out to show their love and support and to offer help. The rivalry between Wall and Manasquan is being fought on a new battlefield: <strong>THE GIVING CHALLENGE</strong>.<br /><br /><br /><br /><strong>The schools' foundations are competing to see who can capture the most donors.</strong><br /><br /><br /><br />We want to see which side can show the most school spirit, and we're basing it on which foundation can get the most people to donate for the week leading up to the annual Thanksgiving game.  We are thankful for whatever you feel comfortable donating. <strong>It's the spirit of the donation, not the dollar amount.</strong> <br /><br /><br /><strong>The winner will be announced at the Thanksgiving game and the winning school will be awarded the Giving Cup</strong> - a special trophy presented to the school that had the most people donate to its cause.<br /><br /><br />Money collected in the challenge on the Manasquan side will be used toward the purchase of 5 new trophy cases for the new hallways in the new wing. <br /><br /><br /><br />The mission of the Manasquan High School Alumni Foundation is to enhance the quality of the educational experience, provide scholarship funds to graduating seniors, and strengthen the mutually beneficial relationship that exists between Manasquan High School and its Alumni. <br /><br /><br />The foundation's contributions have consisted of (but are not limited to) :<br /><br /><br />- Six $1000 scholarships each year for the past few years to deserving, graduating seniors<br /><br />- Twenty-five $1000 grants to local families after Hurricane Sandy<br /><br />- Assisting in the rebuild of the football field "shack" <br /><br />- Assisting in the renovation of the new Media Center<br /><br />- Donating to the Band program to help with the banner cost<br /><br />- Assisting with new lighting in the gym<br /><br /><br /><br />Our organization also maintains the "I am a Manasquan Warrior" Facebook page and assists with class reunions.<br /><br /><br />We are thankful for every gift we receive.
