A Little Update on His Journey:
First, we want to take a moment to say THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts to everyone who has donated, shared our GoFundMe, reached out, and kept us in your thoughts and prayers. The love and support we have received over these past few weeks have meant more to us than words can express. We are truly grateful for every single one of you. ❤️
As many of you know, about three weeks ago, my husband was diagnosed with thymoma, and our lives have changed in ways we never could have imagined. We wanted to share a little update on where things stand and what the next steps in his treatment will look like.
He received his first round of chemotherapy on October 1. Since then, he has had some good days and some not-so-good days as his body adjusts to treatment. For now, things are looking okay, and we are taking it one day at a time. We got to leave the hospital October 3rd after spending 2 weeks in there away from our children. For now, we are home and don’t have to be in the hospital which mentally is so much better for us. We pray that it stays that way.
His chemotherapy treatments are planned every three weeks, with the goal of shrinking the mass enough for him to eventually have surgery. After about 2–3 rounds of chemo, his doctors will do another scan to see how well the treatment is working and whether the mass is shrinking. We are praying so hard that his body responds well to the treatment and that we see positive results on those scans. ❤️
His next round of chemo is planned for the end of October, and until then, we are focusing on getting through each day as it comes.
I have also had to take time away from work so I can be home to help care for him while we see how he responds to his upcoming treatments, especially the second round. Right now, being here for him and making sure he has the support he needs is my priority as we navigate this new chapter together.
We know we still have a journey ahead of us, and there are so many unknowns, but we are holding on to hope and faith, taking things one day at a time, and trusting in the process.
Thank you again to everyone who has helped us financially, checked in on us, sent encouraging messages, and continued to pray for our family. The generosity we have received has lifted a huge weight off our shoulders during a time when so much feels uncertain. Please continue to keep my husband in your prayers, especially that the chemotherapy works, the mass shrinks, and he can move forward to surgery.
We appreciate and love you all more than you know. ❤️ Thank you for standing beside us through this fight.
