Our family is navigating an unimaginably difficult season of loss. Just this past October, we said a heartbreaking goodbye to our beloved mother. Throughout her final days, she was tenderly cared for by my father, Transito Diaz—a retired chef whose passion for food was only outmatched by his devotion as an outstanding father and husband. Tragically, while still in the depths of grieving for his wife, our father received a devastating diagnosis of Stage 4 colon cancer. The cancer was so advanced that treatment was no longer an option. In his final days, while on life support, we were blessed with the opportunity to surround him with love, share our favorite memories, and say our proper goodbyes. On May 1st at 10:00 PM, Transito passed away peacefully, surrounded by the family he worked his whole life to provide for and protect. We are now reaching out to our community for support as we honor his memory and lay him to rest alongside our mother. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Isabel Dominguez de Diaz. A cherished mother and grandmother, Isabel left us peacefully in the comfort of her home at the age of 66, October 30th at 4 PM. For nearly two decades, Isabel bravely battled complications stemming from a brain tumor removal surgery. Despite her suffering, she continued to bring light and love into our lives. We are profoundly grateful for the many years we had with her and for the peaceful manner in which she passed. As we navigate this difficult time of grief, we are also faced with the unexpected costs of funeral arrangements. We humbly reach out for a helping hand from our community to cover the expenses of the services and honor Isabel's memory in a way that reflects the joy she brought to so many.
