With heavy hearts, we share the passing of our beloved father, William “Bill” Martin Wharff, who went home to be with the Lord on January 19, 2026 at the age of 79.
Our parents lived on a small income of Social Security, month to month. We would be so grateful if you are able to help with funeral and memorial expenses. Our Dad has been in Washington to support his medical needs and will need to be flown from Washington to California so that he can be laid to rest with our recently departed niece and other family members. This will be an added, large expense.
Our Dad was diagnosed with congestive heart failure in 1999 and doctors gave him an estimated prognosis of living about 10 years. He beat that and lived another 27 years. In the last year or so he went into kidney failure and other complications that led him to go in hospice last summer. There were no more life saving measures that could be done for him as he already had stents placed, a pace maker and defibrillator.
He was very proud to tell every doctor he saw .. “You know why I’m still here, because of my wife and our Lord Jesus Christ” then proceeded to show them the wallpaper on phone showing a picture of the Lord and our mom Jackie ♥️️
Our Dad loved his kids and grandchildren so much! He was a fun Grandpa! If you know Bill he always had a joke to tell and you can even find him on YouTube today posting “The Joke of the Day!”
We are humbly asking for support as we prepare to lay our dad to rest and honor his life.
Any contribution — no matter the amount — would mean the world to our family. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser or keeping us in your prayers is just as appreciated.
Thank you for your love, kindness, and support during this incredibly difficult time. We are deeply grateful.
With love,
The Wharff Family
