My name is Melissa, and I am reaching out for support after a life-changing event. I am diabetic, and on Christmas, I lost my left leg. The experience has been incredibly difficult, both physically and emotionally, especially during what is usually a joyful time of year. Adjusting to this new reality has been overwhelming, but I am determined to move forward and regain my independence. One of my biggest goals is to get a prosthetic leg so I can return to my normal life and get back to work. Having a prosthetic will help me regain mobility, rebuild my confidence, and take care of myself. The costs for a prosthetic and the necessary rehabilitation are significant, and I cannot manage them on my own. Your support means the world to me.
