<div>Hello good soul :)
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>On July 20, I was contacted to assist with the rescue of a cat that was left behind when his family was deported.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I named him Tommy because he had a beautiful Tom Cat face but he looked so sad it broke my heart.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This was a team effort and I could not have done without the help on good hearted, dedicated volunteers who use their free time to help animals in need - and sadly we have so many in Miami :(
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Tommy was limping when rescued and was kept on pain meds until his vet neuter and assessment appointment on July 27.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Unfortunately, the x-ray confirmed that Tommy has a severe hip dysplasia that causes a lot of pain. Thankfully he tested negative for FIV/FeLV but is being treated for parasites.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>X-rays and meds are expensive and the visit was $550.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The estimate for the surgery came at $2,975.50 with a $1,000 nonprofit discount for a total of $1,975.50.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>All receipts are available.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Despite suffering from abandonment, Tommy is very gentle with humans - he was a house cat left to fend for himself on the street.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Please help me help Tommy! He will be a wonderful addition to any home once he's ready for a new life.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you so much for your generosity! No amount is too small. Together, we can make this happen. Please spread the word and feel free to ask any questions and contact me if you'd like to see the receipts from the vet's office - Pets &amp; Vets in Miami Beach.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you again so much!

<div><strong>Marilu lived her entire life under a food truck with other cats, begging for food, suffering from hunger and cold, without ever knowing affection, a comfortable bed, or the safety and warmth of a home.</strong> Marilu was rescued and has been seen by the vet. She suffers from upper eyelid agenesis bilaterally, a very serious and painful eye condition. The doctor epilated her trichiasis and is recommending cryo treatment for her superior lids. It may need to be done 2-3 times.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>The doctor explained that even if cryo is done once, it will make the hairs grow back much less and softer.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>We are doing this GoFundMe to help cover her medical treatment and to help her have a better life, free from pain and suffering.

</div>

<div><strong>Please, help Marilu in any way you can; share, tag, donate, any amount helps tremendously. Thank you!</strong>

<div>Emma... A very tragic story of a 7-month-old puppy... Found at a Dollar Tree in pain as a hit and run. Emma was taken to a home for the night to keep her safe. After searching for a rescue and nobody helped, the only rescue that agreed to place Emma under their care was Joy and Love Rescue. Although economically she knew she couldn’t take on this case, she couldn’t leave this dog with no help. Emma was taken to Pet Lovers the following morning to get her surgery... The quoted $4,000 that the rescue did not have. Emma went home on pain meds, and a sponsor was found (she’s a rescue). She said she will pay for Emma’s surgery as long as it’s under her vet. Joy and Love Rescue thought it was someone to trust... Unfortunately, it was a mistake. Emma needed a femur surgery, but they performed 2 femur surgeries on Emma, placing some sort of metals into her. Emma has been left paralyzed and unable to walk. After many denials when updates were asked for, we simply got a “she’s okay, and recovering.” Two weeks later, we got a “she’s not wanting to walk.” We knew something was wrong. Emma was returned to her foster mom, and this is how she was returned.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Emma NOW needs to see a neurologist to be able to locate where the problem is coming from and help her be able to walk again.</strong> It’s not something that’s cheap... It’s estimated to be about $5,000. Emma has been kept as comfortable as possible and is trying to walk with her wheelchair, but obviously, this puppy should be able to walk again. This is not fair for her. Help me raise funds to support Emma’s neurologist visit.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The sponsor is denying to send the medical records that were done at her vet, and that is NEEDED so the doctors can know what they actually did to her. This is so unfair to Emma, and we need help to get Emma back on her feet. It’s unfortunate no sponsor will ever be trusted again unless it’s not the vet of the rescues choice ..
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>HELP JOY &amp; LOVE RESCUE GET HELP FOR EMMA... FOSTER MOM HAS SUPPORTED THE RESCUE THROUGH IT ALL. SHE IS AN ANGEL, BUT TOGETHER WE CAN HELP EMMA </strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Medical records were now sent directly to vet. Joy and Love Rescue is not able to access those records. </strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>11/03 Emma </strong>has seen a Neurologist and it is unfortunate to say the Doctor said this is irreversible.. At this point the only thing that may able help Emma get comfortable is receiving therapy to make her as comfortable as possible. Emma will need a customized wheelchair as well that will need to be adjusted to her. Every fund donated will be going toward Emma’s therapy, pampers, customized wheelchair, and anything else to make her feel as comfortable as possible. It is unfortunate to say Emma at 8 months old is paralyed. Emma is looking for an experienced medical foster.

<div>Rocket’s Miracle: Help This Brave 7-Month-Old Puppy Walk Again!

</div>

<div>This is the story of Rocket, a sweet, 7-month-old male puppy whose life was nearly cut short on a busy Central Florida highway. What happened next proves that even in the darkest moments, kindness and hope can shine through.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div><strong>The Rescue on Highway 19</strong>

</div>

<div>Just a few days ago, a good Samaritan witnessed a horrific sight: little Rocket, alone and terrified, was struck by a truck on a major highway. Without hesitation, this hero pulled over on the dangerous road and rushed the severely injured puppy to the nearest place they knew could help—our animal clinic.

</div>

<div>Thankfully, the clinic is where I work as a veterinary technician, and upon arrival, Rocket was placed straight into my care and quickly found his foster mom. But the sight was devastating.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div><strong>An Unbreakable Spirit</strong>

</div>

<div>Despite the quick intervention, Rocket’s injuries were severe and life-threatening:

</div>

<div>* Both front legs were broken in multiple places, requiring intensive orthopedic surgery.

</div>

<div>* Bruised and fractured ribs, making every breath painful.

</div>

<div>* A concussion and deep road rash, cuts, and scrapes covering his little body.

</div>

<div>The pain and trauma he endured should have broken his spirit, but this sweet baby is aptly named Rocket—he’s a fighter. Even through the fog of pain, lying bruised and broken on our exam table, he managed to wag his tiny tail and lean in for a trusting cuddle. His loving, cuddly, and incredibly resilient personality has completely melted every single heart in our clinic.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div><strong>The Long Road to Recovery</strong>

</div>

<div>Rocket needs extensive and costly care to walk again and live the happy puppy life he deserves. His journey involves:

</div>

<div>* Specialist Orthopedic Surgeries: To repair the complex fractures in both front legs.

</div>

<div>* Intensive Pain Management and Concussion Monitoring.

</div>

<div>* Months of Physical Rehabilitation: Once the bones are set, he will need weekly therapy to regain strength and mobility.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div><strong>We know and understand that times are incredibly hard on families right now. Every dollar raised will go directly to Rocket’s surgeries and medical bills.</strong>

</div>

<div>If you are unable to donate, please know that we cherish your support just as much. Please keep Rocket in your prayers and share his story far and wide. He has such a long, challenging road ahead of him, but with your help, we can make sure this brave, trusting little soul makes it to the finish line and finally gets to run on four healthy paws.

</div>

<div>Thank you for helping us give Rocket his second chance.

Give Rocket a Second Chance at a Happy Life

<div>Zita is just 3 months old — a tiny kitten full of love, curiosity, and the sweetest spirit. Sadly, she was recently diagnosed with FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis), a devastating and often fatal disease. Hearing those words broke our hearts, but we refuse to give up on her.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>FIP used to mean there was no hope. But now, with new treatments, there is a chance — a real chance — for Zita to survive and live the happy, playful life every kitten deserves. The treatment is expensive and intense, but Zita’s fighting spirit gives us strength to try everything we can.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Every single donation, no matter the amount, helps cover her medication, vet visits, and care. Your support means more time, more love, and the possibility of a miracle for Zita.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Please help us give her the life she’s fighting so hard for.

Emergency Eye Removal Surgery for SKY

<div>Hi everyone! My name is Melanie and my family and I are currently fostering Edda (#A2131159), a 7-year old pup who was formerly at Miami-Dade Animal Services.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Shortly after leaving on foster, a tumor was discovered on the back of Edda’s tongue. Although this tumor was benign, its location was causing extreme blockage. Edda’s ability to breathe and swallow was being impaired and the tumor’s increasing size would have led to complete blockage. Despite originally being told that removal of the tumor was not possible, the amazing Dr. Reinaldo at Pet Lover’s Animal Clinic made it possible- Edda is now tumor free and feeling so much more comfortable!!

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>The current goal reflects the cost of the surgery. In the photos you will also find the receipt with the breakdown of costs. Any support is appreciated! My family and I are honored to support Edda in her journey towards better health and her forever family.

Support Edda- Tumor Removal

<div>Hi everyone! My name is Melanie. I have volunteered at MDAS since 2021. Considering an increase in academic responsibilities, my family and I have taken on fostering.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Currently, we are fostering Edda. Edda is a 6-year- old boxer mix who arrived at Miami Dade Animal Services as a stray. Back in 2020, Edda was surrendered to the shelter, adopted for one day, and then brought back. Shortly after, she went home with a “dedicated foster”. Years passed and Edda found herself again at the shelter in February 2025. When Edda came back from the shelter she was in horrible shape- she was underweight, filthy, and had a skin condition.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>While at the shelter, Edda became overweight and her mobility became incredibly limited. She was known for yelling due to pain and had a constant limp. Shortly after leaving the shelter, we found a benign tumor on her tongue. Although Edda is doing much better while being in foster care, we want to continue providing her with the medical care and testing she may need.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Edda has brought so much love into our lives. Edda loves her fluffy foster siblings, eating, exploring new areas, pop music, and being wrapped in a blanket.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Please consider donating. Thank you!
