Emma’s fight against AML

<div>I never imagined I would be writing something like this, but recently I was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia (AML).

</div>
<div>Just weeks before my diagnosis, I was a healthy, active 29-year-old mum of four boys. I was working out five days a week, helping my partner run our business, and keeping up with the beautiful chaos of family life. I felt strong, capable, and full of energy.
</div>

</div>
<div>Then almost overnight, everything changed.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I became exhausted in a way I had never experienced before — not just tired, but completely drained. I could barely get out of bed, and simple tasks felt overwhelming. After pushing for answers and undergoing further testing, including a bone marrow biopsy, I was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia.

<div>In just a few short weeks, I went from fit and healthy to starting intensive chemotherapy in hospital. Our world has been completely turned upside down.
</div>

</div>
<div>As treatment continues, my next round of chemotherapy in June will be at The Austin Hospital, where I may need to stay for anywhere between 2–6 months. After that, because we live too far from the hospital, I’ll also need to stay nearby during recovery and ongoing treatment, which means paying for accommodation on top of everything else.

<div>While I focus on fighting this disease, my partner is trying to hold everything together at home for our boys while continuing to work and support our family. Because I’m unable to work or care for the boys right now, daycare fees and everyday expenses have continued piling up during treatment.
</div>

<div>Any donations will go toward helping ease the financial pressure during this time — helping cover accommodation near the hospital, daycare fees, household bills, groceries, travel to and from treatment, and keeping our family stable while I undergo treatment and recovery.

<div>Most of all, your support allows us to focus on healing and being there for our boys without the constant weight of financial stress.
